but to counter you, you should realise that he was a caster & analyst in Overwatch aswell, so he has experience. You dont need to be high rank to have a deep understanding of the game, maybe sideshows aim just sucks ass. And if he doesnt put much time into it, why should he be high rank? You should also realise that the job analysts do is way different than actually playing the game. Also, a good player will never be neccessarily a good analyst, and the other way around aswell.

I mean I don't think you need to be radiant to understand some of the more macro / setups decisions in the game.
Micro mechanics (like aim) would be the most impactful skill to improve to help climb the ranks.
And still the difference between macro in rank and pro play is staggering.
Obviously playing the game more and at a higher level is good for your understanding but it is not indicative of a players knowledge.
