Tenz is no noob to the professional scene
he’s had a long career rife with criticism across games and super admirably rose to meet it and overcome expectations and lot of times
KangKang is super young, inexperienced, basically the face of a whole region and nation of 1.5 billion people of course its going to be more rough on him
the criticism in his CS days made him quit the game in its entirety with noone wanting to acknowledge his inconsitency could have been because of him being young and inexperienced too. It doesn't justify people to keep shitting on him no matter how far he has come in his career. Tenz isn't that old either.. he is like 2 years older than KK
Four years older than KK
Not saying that the hate pro players like Tenz get in general is OK, just pointing out how we should be a bit more sympathetic to what KK is going through with the facts which I pointed out previously (at this point in their careers). Just like how when people shit on Ange1 and other players far more no one gives a damn cause they’re seasoned professionals who have been on the receiving end a lot more than the first time someone gets a lot of hate after being hyped up
Not going to argue about whether Tenz was a good player on C9 during his CS days
What's weird to me is that people don't realize that he made the same mistakes in crucial maps both in Tokyo (vs PRX on Lotus) and Champs this year (vs LOUD on Haven). I hope him and his coaching staff does and fixes those mistakes (eg: overextending and taking unnecessary aim battles in disadvantageous positions against players that have similar aim level), because he actually lost quite a few rounds in very important deciding maps. Still a great potential player, but sometimes decision making is not at the level of his aim.
His reaction and answer to the media question was fair and probably the right way to approach it, because he's not the best duelist in the game.
is he trolling? KK has no right to be this humble when he played so greatly in his previous games. who knows? maybe this will change his playstyle, i love seeing him disrespect the status quo for so long, oh well, at least we have PRX for that, too many teams are trying to play like Fnatic just because they won a few semi fluke tourneys..
