I swear that when you look at EMEA's top teams and players, it's always French, Spaniards, Swedes, Russians, Ukrainians, Turks, and even Brits sometimes.
Is Valorant not as popular in Germany?

"as a German" he says as he writes it from his mom's basement from Kolkata
think they are the same as us, mainly console country. People just playing cod, Fifa, rocket league with friends so pool of pc pro players is much smaller
Isn't Vitality LoL Botlane German and they had a extremely strong start in current season?
2 Germans on Vitality actually, and BrokenBlade went to Worlds with G2 last year and just won the first split
They have decent presence in LoL (LEC) and of course they have BIG in CSGO. But overall pretty small for country so big.
Germany have some good players but never enough to make a top team.
Upset in League as an example.
Germany does have pretty good grassroots and interest in esports.
Fokus is the biggest german org in valorant, though the roster isnt german anymore. But kuba their 6th man gets good viewership as a streamer.
There is a decent german rocket league team , a decent german csgo team but none of these rosters are world beaters
they are doing true choice for not playing val (if germans not plays val too much)
Everyone on this site is either too young to remember the edgy era of jokes or old enough to be tired sick of WW2 jokes
There is not much computer culture in Germany mostly Playstation is used.
Much like Norway, it's not very profitable to be an eSports athlete, that's why they don't have much interest.
Happy Germans aren't wasting their time going pro in VALORANT, someone in this world has to advance human technology and knowledge, big props to all German engineers mathematicians and scientists.
Largest economy in Europe, results speak for themselves π©πͺ
aren't they bulldozing their countryside for coal because they ran out of russian gas? xdxd
I prefer the portuguese engineering https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mlNeEvXO1Xk
It's funny to have the EMEA league in Germany but not one German player in it
Don't feel left out. You can bet Masters Tokyo is gonna be the same regarding Japanese players.
G2 is a European org I don't think they really belong to any country. But yeah the org is currently Berlin based
they are founded and based in berlin but just because his founder is spanish they have spanish fans right?
G2 was founded in Spain just like MAD Lions. Later they both got bought/ moved out to different countries, so no, both were originally Spanish orgs.
But my point is do Germans really feel identified with G2 more than other Europeans? Like does G2 make German content specifically? Idk but I feel like G2 it's more border free
I do not think there is enough talent to make competitive roster. There is a few players who would be good enough for some low teams but not if you put them all together.
But yeah BIG or Fokus should have probably gotten a slot
oh ur right there's not much known german players in the scene. i don't know too
Riot honestly missed their chance to popularize the game in Germany by not franchising a German team.
