+vong (ex-Fokus talent who seems to be going on a redemption arc as of late and can play most roles pretty decently. Say what you will about his performance on Fokus, I personally believe he is an upgrade to AvovA, at least in his current form)

ALIVE sucks. He cant even dash properly with jett most rounds. He's being hard carried by the very talented acend roster. Almost any other jett duelist would do the same things he does maybe better.

I'll talk about Keloqz first. You said he'll only perform under 3 conditions which is

He's on LAN which is where he'll be playing this entire season I don't think Franchised teams have online play if I'm right
He's on Jett which is yes mostly he'll be on Jett most of the maps
On CT side which is true because I haven't seen him consistently frag on T side which is a concern but I wouldn't want to take out Keloqz out he's a very
good player with a hell lot of consistency issues.

As for Avova idk he generally was there for the clutch factor a lot but as you said he's washed I don't see that much impact coming out of him. So if they can get a better Sova or Fade player( the role which Boo plays ) then Avova can be taken out. But I'd have Keloqz in the team.

But whatever we discuss they would only make changes during mid split. Because most teams would've began prac and they don't want to be disturbing the chemistry and shit so yeah the changes mostly would happen mid split

I don’t think assuming tier 1 players are not playing good means some tier 2 pros better. I think there is very very few tier 2 players who would give the level in tier 1, and that’s just if they are surrounded by better players than them

Personally I'm a strong believer in the statement that the skill difference in val between teams and Tier 1 vs Tier 2 is not as high as in other games.

If Tier 1 players like MAGNUM, Mistic and keloqz can go to Tier 2 and drop average performances, then imo the top performers in Tier 2 can go to Tier 1 and put up better performances than what AvovA is doing rn

Id agree when it comes to playstyles, there are plays that just don't get punished the same way in t2 than they do in t1 nowadays, that lead to stats you cant reproduce when against the best teams
But aim, game understanding (in terms of both util and timing) and motivation very much carry over, so I dont think its worth dismissing t2 players generally; the teams should (and probably are doing) do their due diligence in scouting since (imo at least) there's a crap ton of players who would do well given the chance

Me personally, I dont think the gap between t1 and t2 is that big.
Valorant is very new and alot of new concepts are being created.

But also franchising has enforced an artificial barrier between t1 and t2.
Some of the teams in t1 are not "t1" level yet, whereas you have a few "t2" teams that can outperform these rosters right now.

The main issue is just time (a common theme really), new rosters in t1 taking some time to get accustomed to each other. Alot of these strong t2 teams are the ones who have a long standing core.

I dont think heretics should change anything right now. its way too reactionary to chop and change

Alright, I’ll develop my point a bit more. I think it’s very important to distinguish between Top tier 1 players, low tier 1 players and top tier 2 players. And yes, most of the times it’s hard Ik.

But the thing is, a tier 1 team can have a couple weaker links with low tier 1 players or tier 2 players who are adapting etc. The problem comes when a roster is completely made out of very low tier 1 players and top tier 2, when that’s the case the team becomes just not good enough, even though all those players would be more than fine surrounded by better players

As awful as some tier 1 teams look, let’s try to be realistic, now imagine TH had signed the current Acend or Apeks roster, who would they be better than? Would people not make this thread saying -someone +Zeek/boo etc?

Idk if I explained myself correctly lol

And btw not saying this because it’s TH, I think that about all rosters on the league, maybe applies a bit less to Turkey but that’s just because of the crazy amount of options

maybe but if I'm not wrong Lewis is IGLing for Fokus so maybe that affects his game style. I overall think he has good mechanics, is flexible and the fact that they made him to IGL likely means he has good takes.
