yo need something to watch, something underrated would be fun...
There's practically zero difference between Your Name and Weathering With You. Just make the MCs younger and replace Comets with Monsoons and add some metaphysical element. Oh and make the characters love eachother. They're not bad there's just a lack of expirementation. Suzume no Tojimari will be no different probably
Magirevo new lesbian/Yuri isekai

i like isekai as a concept and its really fucking sad to me because there are barely any that pull it off right
its not even like the insta overpowered cant be done right, e.g. Re:Zero. Sure, subaru's power is OP asf, but he doesn't fully understand it, he has to actually work for outcomes he wants, and there are real consequences for him. Most insta-OP MC's though are shallow, self insert type characters who don't have to work at all to gain strength.
There are quite a few isekai i really like, like the aforementioned rezero, but the vast majority are pretty soulless. They don't put in time with worldbuilding and immersion, they don't have well written characters, et cetera.
Some, even, ruin themselves. They start out great (Shield Hero S1) and eventually succumb to bad harem type isekai (Shield hero s2)
and then there are the ones where you can tell if they were just slightly less lazy with their plot points and world mechanics it would be fantastic but they just throw away their potential
Its just so painful. I fucking love the idea of isekai but there are so many bad ones it makes it hard to find anything good.
The only "good" bad ones are the funny ones, like the one with the Bass Pro Shop goddess and the one where the guys power is just being minecraft steve
Re:Zero is absurdly overrated lol. Even Danmachi has better characters and world building. It's all random and when you ask people why it feels like that they say "you're not supposed to know what's going on". That only works if there's actual mystery, not some goons underground looking for a witch.
Super underrated: One Piece.
I'm joking, read the manga instead, I quite literally had to binge a full summer break to catch up 2 years ago and I've been burned out for anime since then. Still my favorite anime, but nothing hits the same.
But actual options I have not seen that may not be quite underrated, such as Violet Evergarden (Pure Beauty), I recently watched Hyouka and it's a very nice kind of casual mystery genre that's pretty refreshing, if you like RAW PURE fight scenes with almost zero regard for story then God of Highschool is great, and I know I have seen it put down already but Bocchi the Rock is legit one of my top 3 anime's so if you have any interest in a slice of life with OUTSTANDING music and good characters (especially for a slice of life) then please give it a chance. I'm not a big enough weeb to give deep, truly underrated amines, I can just provide popular ones that are just sort of looked past.
