I'm half Japanese, and I only visit Japan every December to celebrate Winter with my family there. I barely play in Tokyo Rank. In terms of communication between players in high elo from my little experience. They do understand the very basics of English but don't expect more than that. You will encounter players that studied in International School and can fully converse in English. If you don't like the rank experience in Tokyo Server. You can just play in HK. The ping there from JP is not that bad. Overall, players, there are nice and forgiving if you ever make a bad play unless you got queued with a Japanese troll HAAHHHA (they're worse than toxic players in SG and HK).

Dudee the last part. I actually played with Japanese troll. One of the worst experiences of my life. They had 100 ping, took spike, threw it to enemy and sage walled us off in attack. One was reyna bot frag. They went afk and next half when we tried to surrender, they came back somehow and voted no and made us play the whole damn match.

They kept on asking me to stream my game on discord and proceed to berate me every second until I reached diamond so I can play with them using their smurf. Always have good aim(cuz I reached master on apex season 4-9) but they do teach me lineup and positioning that's why I improved a lot.
