It's fucking amazing tbh
Yea worlds 2017 is still my favourite due the grand final opening ceremony: https://youtu.be/mP3fGkpmVM0
Honestly, I do. League and Worlds was my first introduction to Riot and its esports scene and while I'm a literal shitter at League PC (Wild Rift is more my jam), the esport is so intricate and nuanced with different playstyle that I stuck around.
Also Riot production banger and I still remember just chuckling when Valorant folks gets a taste of it the first time Reykjavik 2021 had the LAN teasers.

Can't wait to see stuff like this in Valorant, maybe one day ....
jimjam789 [#8]i think worlds is the one tournament where people outside of the game come to watch
agreed

In the near future i believe
mattgg2015 [#12]its always in Asia so as an NA user its always like 3 AM for me so i never can. Plus i dont play the game so its really impossible to understand whats going on
What no its not held always in Asia lol. This year it will be in NA btw
I want to get into League but it's so fucking boring... both to play and to watch. Like I am sorry, I want to like it but I can't. Watching people farm minions for gold for what feels like an eternity is just not fun.
Also it's kinda fucked to start playing League in 2022 bc there are so many heroes out already and I never know what I am doing. Feels like I have to get a PhD in LoL characters first before I can start playing.
Rtg299 [#16]Yes been watching since 2018, TheShy is my 2nd favourite player of all time
He's very fun to watch
Thiag0_ [#18]He's very fun to watch

Agressive player for sure
Of course. Even if you don't like LoL you should still watch Worlds or at least finals IMO. Biggest esport tournament out there and best production usually. Their songs always bang and finals opening shows have been really good outside of like last 2 years that were pretty disappointing due to Covid. Worlds is what started my interest towards LoL esport as someone who doesn't play LoL at all and nowadays I watch Worlds, MSIs and LEC at times. I watches most of first split of LEC, but haven't followed this split as much tho.

Sad that EU team can't win :(
AirbusLover [#25]Sad that EU team can't win :(
True, but in a way that is a good thing. It makes EU teams the unlikely underdogs so seeing teams like G2 2019 making a run and having a chance at winning Worlds or having Fnatic almost beating TES in 2020 etc was really cool and interesting to follow. Obviously it feels like that cap has gotten bigger and EU most likely won't see team like peak G2 in long time. But as long as EU stays as 3rd best region and EU>NA I'm happy. Maybe EU will win one day.

Ik but the last couple of years it’s been Asia

Scroll down looking at the venues for this year worlds, Riot capacity of first lan being about 3000 isn't a terrible idea actually.
