With DRX and PRX the last asian teams in this tourney, Do you think any of those two teams have a chance to win Copenhagen? How many tourneys till Asia wins one ?
But you forget Zeta,
never count out a Zeta even tho they lost against NTH in their own finals, the quality of players are still absolute insane and they could damage again. They were just quite unfortunate that the off day they had was exactly on that grandfinals day were NTH was hitting every shot. They are still a top team that could do insane damage especially now when they are JP's only hope again and have the motivation to improve themselves.
There also are two other asian teams qualifying in the APAC N LCQ and APAC S LCQ, some of those teams are potentially as good or most probably better than Xerxia at least.
In APAC N you have 3 KR teams Maru Gaming, DWG and Ons, the last two are currently in a rebuilding phase and trying to build another super team in KR. Those teams are not bad at all with the only problem they ever had faced being DRX and not being able to ever beat them to qualify for an international event.
For the JP representatives in that LCQ you get NTH, CR and Reject all teams that showcased to have good potential especially with NTH who have good firepower that needs fine-tuning in strats and comps.
As the Chinese representative you have Kone and EDG both teams that were playing most of the time in the depths of the underground scene in China. Although they never officially played against international teams, they are both regular scrims partners for the top teams in Asia. Most known being EDG who are said to be scrim demons beating and stomping top teams like Bleed in practice. Although they seem to be tactically behind, the players themselves are no weaker than top tier teams Life and Zmj notably aimgods who can and will destroy teams.
For APAC S you have teams like Bleed, TS, ONIC and many others. A team like Team Secret have been on the international stage before and they surely want to prove themselves again to reach further heights than they had accomplished in 2021 Champions.
Teams that could definitely catch somebody off guard if you are underestimating them too much.
In all this will be the event that has the highest probability ever to get an Asian winner with six potentially insane teams that have all a chance to make a good run for Champions.
