The most fluke team of all time and people hype them up like they have actually done something, best performance is top 5-6.
"they have the best strategies" where bro, if they actually had then why haven't they won anything. Dominating in a one team region, and people think they are the best.
they are top 8 at best in the world
I would surely change my mind if they show results.

they do have the best strategies in the entire game (almost every single team in most if not all region copy drx strats) but they have sooooooo many issues which include weak mental, not enough layering on the strats they have and sometimes they overthink what the other team is doing and end up making bad decisions. No part of DRX is a fluke and many pros who have played against DRX (they clearly know what they are talking about) have said they are a world class team and have the potential to be the best

DRX is a perfectionist team.

They either win a map very cleanly, that is 13-2, 13-3 or 13-5 at max or they choke and lose.

I have not seen close maps with DRX winning in OT at all. They dominate all the mickey mouse teams, their executes look out of the world and are perfect against such teams.

However, their mental plummets if even one thing goes wrong for them even mid-round.

1) Believe it or not, many teams use DRX set plays and try to add them into their own strategy book (little things like combining a Kayo flash and dart on Icebox B to the entire fast rush that teams like NiP later attempted)
2) “They have the best strategies in the world” is half true since they have by far the best set plays, they just become a little stagnant when they have to innovate mid-round
3) Name 8 teams better than DRX (and don’t hit me with this ‘M3C would destroy DRX’ bullshit)

Some EMEA fans just don’t want to admit how badly teams like G2 underperformed last event, so now they have been attacking Asian teams like DRX and PRX recently and calling them ‘flukes’
I still remember that Ukrainian dude who said something along the lines of “BBL are unlucky to be playing in EMEA, they could probably qualify from any other region” or the ones who said “the EMEA Challengers will be higher level than Reykjavik”

I feel like in this moment rn and especially in stage 1 drx were fairly rated and maybe even underrated. Like literally no one cares about them anymore and just thinks they’re a decent team who chokes a lot.

The only problem I think is that people don’t understand how much of an influence vision strikers was and still is to Valorant. Literally every early pro watched vision strikers if they actually watched Valorant and so many early and existing strats branched off of or were created with influence from vision strikers related stuff.

emea teams are good and its certainly unlucky that fpx didnt make it but its a stretch to say that any emea teams (MAYBE other than FNC, a big MAYBE) can beat drx or prx in their current state, emea havent proven themselves this year but the fans use arguments like optic didnt face emea thats why they won or drx/prx got lucky or zeta had a fluke run. People who say this kinda stuff just watch highlights of games and think they know each and everything about the pro scene, M3C havent proven shit this year and rn DRX are miles ahead of M3C but that might change we will know after copenhagen but until then the emea fanboys should stop talking shit about region who is clearly ahead of their region currently

Yeah, I’m not going to act like FPX wouldn’t have been good in Reykjavik, definitely would’ve been a top three team imo

True but this is only for DRX not PRX. PRX is just Benkai's Brain and the agressive duos brawn combined

not really, PRX is way more coordinated than people think, its not just forsaken and jing doing braindead shit which seems to be what people think PRX are doing, its WAYYY more coordinated and they have set strats which teams usually use to get into postplants or to get into site but prx use their set strats to get aggro and get their main two players into positions where they can deal good damage (although they seem to have taken a step back from the aggro playstyle after watching the recent vct my/sg). They have tons of strats which no team can copy as most teams dont have a jing and forsaken in their roster but like every other team they have their downfalls like certain times it feels like if jing and forsaken dont play well its an instant loss (it has gotten way better rn tho) and just like DRX their mental is weak. From the outside it seems like prx is just doing braindead shit and it seems to be working but inreality most if not all the things they do are well planned (with that being said, i personally like prx from iceland than the current prx because of chamber meta and forsaken playing chamber)

#22
Rebellion2408

I think this is a half true statement. DRX by far has the best set plays and coordinated plays alongside maybe Optic and M3C. Many teams try to take a page of their stratbook and add them to their own because of how good they are. For example DRX were the ones who pioneered the Breach-Skye meta in Haven which was a torture comp. Even in Reykjavik they played well. I think the problem with DRX is their mental which especially could be seen in the match against Optic where DRX had the game in their hands because they had won Ascent 13-8 and were 9-6 in Icebox. But somehow they had a mindblock and choked Icebox. Split ok that was peak Valorant both teams played really well.

I also think that DRX lack the ability to adapt because of which they lose if by chance the opponent does something different than they expect. If they can recharge their mental and bring in more adaptability, then who knows DRX might be the strongest team

Exactly, PRX and DRX deserve more respect from the community and about FPX hmmm im not sure if they would be top 3 in iceland but looking at them rn, they arent as good as they were when they qualified to iceland. FPX seem sluggish and not as coordinated as before but they will be back stronger im pretty sure (their comps are also weird but that might be them experimenting so all good)

Yeah I feel Benkai Mindfreak and Davai do deserve their recognition because all 3 of their aim looks nasty( MY/SG finals where Benkai clutched a 1v3 with just a Sheriff ). But yeah they seem coordinated because they know how to actually deal with the aggression of Jingg and Forsaken. Earlier it was like Jingg and Forsaken fall Prx falls but now everyone is raising their hands especially Mindfreak. But I personally feel PRX would look better if they play the game more for fun rather than to win because that's where they looked stronger. I do kinda hate their Icebox now because of Forsaken on Sova. Chamber is fine because Forsaken can OP and Jingg is on the Raze.

As for DRX their mental is bad and they need to bring in adaptability in their game they can just mug up some strats and just throw it up in game they need to adapt

Are you trying to say OpTic aren’t the best team in the world? I don’t get what you are trying to prove by bringing XIA into this
Either way, using the same brain dead ass logic, DRX beat PRX who 2-0’d G2. Since M3C got beat by G2, wouldn’t that make them weaker than both PRX and DRX? (again, using your terrible logic)

Pretty sure it's still impressive. People were very quick to brush off Optic after their loss against XERXIA early during Reykjavik. You're talking about the most recent Masters winner and two-time Masters finalist. They arguably went through a downturn during Champions last year but showed their mental strength after their repeat loss against XERXIA. Other than LOUD, DRX pushed Optic to the fullest, in their match.

It proves that DRX has been showing great improvement since their first showing at Berlin last year, and they can go toe-to-toe with the world's best.

Guild was the underdog. People expected M3C to went in clean after a Stage 2 refresh. Shows how improved Guild is, and how close EMEA is as a whole.G2 went in decent, but I took a gander that with the loss against Paper Rex, G2 got caught off-guard and was outclassed by a team going hot into the lower bracket. They somewhat underperformed.

M3C is strong, but recent results could suggest that EMEA is getting closer to them. It already did, in some cases.

"miracle run" alright buddy u clearly have brain damage, zeta improved more than anybody in the whole entire tourney and played better than all the teams they faced up until optic/loud and yeah sure other pro players might have said they are good and shit but that doesnt mean anything when they dont have any results to show, ur just getting mad over nothing just wait for copenhagen then let ur godtier team win or do smthng then lets talk, dont just spit out random bs

,your the one getting mad over nothing because i implied your precious zeta might have been a fluke run and they might have not just magically "improved" overnight despite not showing any real improvement before the tournament in their games,we literally had a run just like this in champs by kru and they didnt follow it up and now your getting all defensive because i simply said it was a fluke in my opinion r why does calling zeta fluke make you this defensive when we literally had a situation just like this in champs too, with kru alot of pros said they actually have potential and can surprise so it was even less likely to fluke than literally going from getting shit on by drx and g2 to winning drx, liquid and prx

Obviously m3c are a very good team but they’re in a bit of a slump rn, maybe the political situation is playing a part so I’m not going to judge them too harshly. But consider:
DRX have only been 2-0ed twice in VCT history if I recall correctly (vs nuturn in stage 1 2021 and vs ons in stage 1 2022). Note how none of those were international. They are insanely consistent and people really underestimate how close they bring it.

Delusional
DRX were a few rounds away from beating the world champs meanwhile Gambit can’t even take a map off of Guild

and this whole game is full of flukes and rng, theres literally nothing impressive about drx having a close game vs optic

and what are loud's achievements this year? stomping their region and getting a free ride to playoffs only to get 3-0'd in the grand finals while also having 2 map bans, the first map pick and an extra day to prepare compared to their opponent?

Yep, and Gambit’s literally two best achievements this year are almost beating FPX and almost beating Fnatic, top 3 team 4sure

DRX best achievements are always like that
Beating ALMOST the best teams, but never go far.
Gambit won masters, got to finals in champs and dominated CIS like DRX did in Korea
DRX is not bad but holy they are the most overrated team itw

imo they are tactically top 3 team itw, their icebox, breeze, ascent etc etc are just so clean and every team should copy them

“Drx don’t create new strats” bro they created the Skye meta, Astra meta, post plant meta, successfully implemented no duelist into most of their maps.

Go watch them on bind and their until usage.

And they just created the breach neon fade meta

They were on of the first regions to play kayo and chamber as well, but NA beat them to that
