look where G2 is and look where TL is
at least I am smart enough to cross-reference my info with google lmao. That site is a compilation of the top 10 esports orgs with the most NETWORTH. There were 2 European teams on that list (G2 and TL) G2 was 8th on that list and TL was 3rd making TL undeniably more profitable than G2 no? Dunning-Kruger effect at work in ur brain kek.
EDIT: U want a credible source? Take a look at what forbes has to say, https://www.forbes.com/sites/brettknight/2022/05/06/the-most-valuable-esports-companies-2022/?sh=6123a0c9599f
Are we talking in Valorant or in general? The question needs to be more specific, but I'd assume you mean any org founded in Europe. It's a bit odd because TL is a European org, but they have a League of Legends team in NA which is a huge part of their brand and possibly profits. As far as I understand, G2 is only in Europe except their Rocket League team which is in NA.
You'd be surprised to learn that most esports organizations are actually operating on a loss, not on a profit.
I had a look into the fnatic financials some time back as they were upening up a public investor fund. They have been operating at a loss since forever.
It turns out that player salaries are crazy inflated due to the arms race to field the best teams and keep credibility in a rapidly growing industry (esports), however, the growth of salaries and expenses is moving much more rapidly than the growth of revenue in esports.
Revenue =/= profit.
As for which orgs are the ones that are actually profitable, it's hard to say. I'd think it's most likely a firm like G2.
Majority of organizations end up losing more money than earning, salaries are crazy big and the amount you get off sponsorships, merchandise, tournament winnings is not enough (or barely enough) to make up for invested resourses
Of course if you have army of content creators (Faze, TSM, 100T, NRG...) or great social media management all around (G2) or very strong fanbase in one specific region / country (Navi, Karmine Corp, Vitality...), you will be going "+", but else definitely "-"
