what do you expect when the whole team needs to change their shit because fb left on short notice? also estrella was the igl so they are just going through an unwanted and unexpected transition rn

posted 2 months ago

the calling was fine considering it was estrella's first time igling with a new team + new roster. Dont you get tired of this narrative or are you just that cooked in your brain you cant think of anything else

posted 2 months ago

still need a bit of time with beyn coming in though. i reckon if DRX make toronto, they'll be better than they are now with beyn

posted 2 months ago

"oh look! im just going to shit on termi and that will make me look smart!" ahh comment

posted 2 months ago

freeing said that he is the best tejo user on the team, so he prefers playing tejo when it is viable. they have their own ways and they cook well so there arent any role issues

posted 2 months ago

He should be done already afaik. if not, real soon.

EMEA sending TECH PAUSE to Pacific was NOT on my list

He asked for "personal leave" two days before the BME game and proceeded without any discussion. So DRX had to sub in Beyn and since playoff is in the near future, i doubt Flashback will join in once he is back.

The only official facts we know are:
Fb took a personal leave 2 days before vs BME
Coaches got taken aback by sudden leave
Beyn subbed in.

posted 2 months ago

that is exactly what i said. But you don't just inform your team "im taking personal leave" 2 days before a game and not communicate. termi said he will give fb enough time to solve the issues in the past 2 cases. this time he said he was taken aback and quite confused for the actions. So it seems like there was no other communication after fb left.

posted 2 months ago

idk if you got the words from my post but no, he didnt. he asked for a personal leave 2 days before their game vs BME and the coaches had to sub in beyn. 1st seed is important and DRX never not wanted the 1st seed.

posted 2 months ago

thats a possibility

posted 2 months ago

s1mon crashed out against his teammates and the team online so its not quite similar but i think ppl dont talk about this because no one really translated the interview in english and it didnt blow up in twitter

posted 2 months ago

they can't. unless flashback comes back from his leave. so until he comes back, it'll be beyn.

+im not sure if DRX will continue with him for a long time, because termi did seem pretty upset on fb stepping down 3 times in 1.5 year.

posted 2 months ago

I don't think i've seen termi being this speechless and annoyed in an official interview or show this much emotion apart from the one he did with KR broadcast after the win vs TLN in 2024.

It appears that Flashback informed the coaches that he wanted to take a personal leave two days before the BME game, and the notice was one-sided, leaving the coaches with no recourse.

I like fb but this is his 3rd time asking himself to be excused from the starting roster since his debut in 2024. he is getting a bit unreliable at this point.

flashback just said "i need to step down" 2 days before their game vs BME, beyn had to sub in as an emergency replacement.
I think ive said this before but you dont know SHIT and yet still yapping so much.
It was because of the 6 men roster DRX could even field 5 players vs BME, if not glow or academy player would have had to sub in with 0 team cohesion.

you can see through frauds but you can't see through yourself being the biggest fraud and disappointment to your family? ironic.

posted 2 months ago

he should have gone to sleep, woke up, and thought about it again, not crashing out like this 😭 he let his emotions get the better of him

posted 2 months ago

i dont think muggle lied for s1mon, but it seems like both s1mon and EDG got different ideas now

i see your termi hate is back

this isn't even the starting 5 Shadow...

oh yea Challengers stage 3 in 2021. sad they couldnt make it to berlin man

posted 2 months ago

wasnt it always indonesia and thailand. like literally from the start of VCT

posted 2 months ago

I dont think they are QUALIFIED qualified but they are most likely to make playoffs after T1

posted 2 months ago

nah if DRX is saving strat, they won't be picking icebox.
DRX saving strat = playing the same map over and over again.
^i think they stopped doing this because they ended up not getting much insight to the maps they hid from playing and getting punished in int. stages in 2023

posted 2 months ago

yea but regardless of the changes, i hope the fans don't use this as an excuse IF DRX lose.

posted 2 months ago

the level of curse is insane. DRX might be cooked.

posted 2 months ago

no clue. might be a role thing. Beyn + estrella can give u more flexibility in icebox

posted 2 months ago

#plsbetrue

posted 2 months ago

its nice to see beyn playing, though. DRX secured the playoffs, so it is a good time for rotated players to get some playing time

second thought, its probably a role change tbh so idk if it gives one team more advantage or wtv

why tf is this getting downvoted xx

posted 2 months ago

I've never felt more nervous about the DRX game in recent times than I do now. BME is looking a bit too sharp rn.

posted 2 months ago

he isnt playing cos he is too young rn. hopefully he is not losing the sharpness too much man

posted 2 months ago

real. we talk about the players but meow has been pretty mid when it came to signing players and some of the recent macro stuff, too.

posted 2 months ago

i still got my money in for xross, but yeah, KEN seems legit

posted 2 months ago

More like role changes occurred. it was just one of an experimental roles.

posted 2 months ago

and this is why i dont think ronkyo is gamergirl, but just someone who likes DRX with beyn with no harm (?). mb for some of my replies i think i misunderstood your intentions

posted 3 months ago

thats what i thought, too @ #26 https://www.vlr.gg/470393/feel-bad-for-beyn/#26

it always shocks me to see all the haters, whether it be termi or whomever

posted 3 months ago

yea he did, i saw that interview/vid but i always like to wait until i get the updated answer since it happened all so quickly mid-season. so there might be more insights that we dont know now.
I also rate estrella highly tbh, his time in dplus was pretty solid too.

posted 3 months ago

they will.
foxy9/zest situation happened because foxy9 couldn't suit his playstyle into '23 DRX style, hence zest stepped in. (foxy9 is adapting well in GENG now, good for him).
2024 was marked by players seeking a new challenge (Stax mid-season and Buzz nearing the end of his contract) and flashback situation that necessitated a roster change.
we'll see why they opted for estrella but he just has more experience and allows them to do double duelist too so it makes DRX more flexible with estrella vs with beyn

posted 3 months ago

flashback and termi said that this suits them (current players and igling) more than orthodox comps too.

posted 3 months ago

holy shit whats up with you and termi hate lately. "Next victim" is crazy shit.

posted 3 months ago

wasnt patrick absolutely shitting on everyone during the trials? thats why GE fans had such high hopes for him.

posted 3 months ago

like who could have predicted that 😭 😭

posted 3 months ago

2023 - t3xture, monyet (pop in bazzi for W int)
2024 - rough
2025 - Kr1stal, Udo (papi/kellys)

its not a curse, its just poor management in making a proper functioning team with good players. But i bet HC getting 1 year ban was not in their plan so its quite unfortunate, really.

posted 3 months ago

damn someone is on a hate train against DRX. what is this, gamergirl alt?

posted 3 months ago

oooo we generalising other races now huh? WHILST playing the race card? smh.

posted 3 months ago

Internally, the team practiced a lot with Double Duelist, and the history doesn't matter because there are four new players with a different IGL.
However, the playstyle is not a drastic change, and simply switching comps is fairly common across VCT during the early stages of Stage 1 (also since DRX is already somewhat safe in getting to playoffs, its a good time for them to make any changes if anything)

for people aside from DRX fans who watches the korean interviews, i guess it can be seen as a drastic change, but it isnt.

posted 3 months ago

it really isnt a drastic change. you just weren't familiar with them and the interviews.

posted 3 months ago

DRX got rid of that style from 2024 champs when Mako took over as igl. It wasn't a "fast" change. I mean, it doesnt make sense to keep questioning the decision when the players and coaches expressively said that it suits them more.

Different players/igl, different playstyle.

posted 3 months ago

Moved to foreign country from Korea when I was 8 and went to int. school there. Zero English background; didn't even know what English was. So i was just there surviving day by day.

I guess you just need to be around people who speak English and be immersed in those surroundings.

its clear that you don't really know about SPG/NS. Since VCL Korea, Francis has been equally, if not more, represented as the face of SPG/NS. Coming into ascension, dambi received a lot of engagement online, but the face of spg didnt change to dambi alone.

Dambi is "flashy" because of how the team plays but in all honesty, that doesnt mean that he is the automatic face of SPG/NS. its a different case compared to Meiy and DFM.
