I agree with the person above. I played sentinel only to climb out of bronze back in 2022. I am not great yet but I have good gamesense imo. It's all about confidence. Players with good aim get confidence through duelists where they do not get punished for taking head on fights. I have awful aim so I am not like that. I enjoy getting a free kill in the back or to a fully blinded person or through a smoke while they are revealed. That gives me confidence. I didn't touch the smokes role initially in low elo because I felt less confident on it. Now I feel very comfortable on the role. You need to find the agent and the role that you feel confident in playing. Do you want to play sentinels, and learn good setups that give you free kills on defense? Will that give you confidence? Or do you want to play an initiator that can reveal and/or blind an enemy to secure info for you? And maybe even some kills when fighting. Do you want to play a duelist who can allow you to take a fight and swing it in your favour with your util? Or do you want to play a controller to have that freedom of playing around a smoke and outplay your enemies that way? You have to find what you enjoy and what you feel confident on. It takes some time, and it may not be fruitful at first. But as someone who has gone through the low elo trenches, don't be afraid to experiment and find what kind of player you want to be. The fighter, the flanker, the support player, the anchor, or whoever you want to be. Find the role you want to play and can allow you to play to the best of your ability and you will undoubtedly rank up and see results.

the flashback situation is from last year, where he had to step down from the starting roster because he was accused of engaging in non consensual sex. however, it turned out that the accuser had consented to the act, but not to him ejaculating within her, which is so silly imo. this caused a lot of issues for the team and flashback too and the whole thing was cleared up. this is not a similar situation at all; here, s1mon is getting trashed on by all his teammates for not trying and wanting to get subbed out, indicating that he was not trying while on EDGs starting roster.
