Yeah… They need to get an ACTUAL igl and have MaKo on smokes, flashback on flex/secondary smokes, wnd BeYN on initiator / flex

If they don’t make it to champs or perform there, surely they rebuild around MaKo BeYN and Flashback.

Buzz is just bad now and foxy9 has been the “next. prodigy” for too long. Neither one of them can perform consistently or well when they need to. Too many chances for the both of them.

do i retire the drx flair? i’ve been a drx fan since DRX picked up the VS players and keep getting edged. i thought this roster was supposed to be full of aimers and talent.

they do differ a lot. if you have above average aim and play smart you can be a plat player and be mid to top frag in a immo1 match. but after immo1 you'll just get mind diffed. the main difference between immo2-rad is just game sense for the most part unless you're the next aspas demon1 tenz typa aimer.

the only players that could be added to this roster to win a championship is
Duelist: Demon1 or Oxy
Initiator/Flex: N4RRATE or Verno

coach: potter

could also be oxy and verno since verno is more of an actual initiator player and oxy can play any duelist at the highest level

let go of optic, yes i understand they’ve improved and it’s only been one game but it’s the truth. victor and crashies simply aren’t world class level players anymore.

if it were 2022.

Get rid of vic crashies. They’re not a “great duo”. Yes they’re good players, but they’re so inconsistent and don’t provide or show up enough as players to win them matches since 2022. Id say pick up Verno or N4RRATE to replace crashies by the end of 2024, and unbench Demon1 or pick up Oxy in 2024.

So ideally the roster would be

Verno/N4RRATE
Oxy/Demon1

this roster actually has firepower and has players who could carry a win

also ethan is looking good again on support. i missed prime ethan

But as a DREAM roster yes zaddy has the best vibes no doubt, but player wise there are at least 5 "flex" / support players I can think of that clear Zaddsis

simply termi was only good until 2022 ended. in 2023 the DRX roster was only "good" because all other rosters were new and getting used to franchising. Also they had MaKo who would carry them. Now in 2024 (yes DRX played bad today individually), but termi still isn't really doing anything outstanding for the team.

I do agree, I dont want to lose hope in BuZz because we have seen moments where he is looking like t3xture, but he truly is inconsistent. The team just needs to get over the consistency issue.

LOL, im just going through it right now. As a DRX fan its so hard when your team looks so good one split/game, and then look like a silver lobby team the next especially when you have amazing players. One day :(

I always have so much hope for DRX, but they are just so bad. Like what did I just witness?? Any 2021 team would've gotten more rounds in general and on eco than DRX. Not to mention Buzz missing every awp shot? MaKo Foxy and BeYN were looking INCREDIBLE split 1, and now they are just choking. Their firepower right now quite literally matches PRX for the most part so I don't get how they're getting outaimed MOST of the time as well.

defense is so hard on icebox if bomb is down. so many angles to hold and too many corners. #DRXWIN

nah bro vic has been aiming recently, and also fns has improved mechanically from what ive seen in his ranked games, but i guess only time will tell.

NA from what we've seen does have the deepest talent pool from T2.

i love verno and would love to agree, but we truly dont know yet. they are so similar in skill its only until verno is franchised we'll 100% know. n4rrate has the bigger agent pool, but that doesnt mean much since most roles are set.

Are these guys brothers or something?? I swear they look so similar, they both play initiator, both hard carry their team, both insane aimers, both from NA T2, they are just way too similar in many ways.

i respect your opinion, and we will see. ethan really hasnt been given a chance to show anything since last year/to play on other roles so we wouldn't 100% know, but I do agree with everything you said except flexibility being a factor. flexibility is only "valuable" when no one else can flex on your team and a flex is needed. on NRG rn vic can play duelist senti and semi initiator, crashies can play initiator and hassss played viper (not saying itll be good), s0m can play smokes and raze if needed, ethan can play any inititator + omen, and FNS can play viper and any sentinel. if you ask me thats a ton or at least more than enough flexibility for one team for the "flexibility" position to not really matter in an argument like this.

nats (senti)
c0m (scan initiator + cypher)

or something, zellsis wouldddd be more valuable since the guys I listed above are known for playing only one role

I was discussing w another VLR user on who the better player is overall. No hate towards that person whatsoever because I enjoy discussions like this, but I would just like other peoples opinions. Who do you guys think is the better player overall? You can choose to consider ethan as igl or not, but it would be fair to not consider his igl stats/performances as anyones stats/personal performance would dip as an IGL.

I want you guys to consider impact for the team and how they actually contribute in matches not some mere number because of a pop off game, stomp game, or stat player game. truly as a player and their value to the team.

you can, but its not necessary? you could literally ask any pro or vlr user that isnt just SEN biased on who the better player is. everyone will say Ethan. the only reason ppl keep bringing down ethan is because of recency bias. dont forget how good he was last year, and how good he was in the start of this year individually before NRG became shit.

okay my bad, i didnt click on the matches in whcih you linked, but you also chose a grand final where zellsis poppped off literally last game of icebox vs a non grand final. back to statistics as well, zellsis during that grand finals besides icebox was quite litearlly useless. more than half the time he was a walking orb for GenG. ethan during the last bo3 he played, you could see his impact. you could see his util usage being good, you could see his game sense and aim. and everyone knows madrid was mickey mouse.

yes also Ethan this year was on a completely new position as IGL which he isnt the best at as we can see. all zellsis has to do is lock down site and shootLMFAO. you cant compare the "easiest" role (as in mainly plays sentinel type roles like kj viper) vs the hardest role while assisting your team. also the stats you're comparing is IGL vs regular player who secondary calls. and if you want to talk about stats itself, i can pull some crazy bs out and say its the truth. stats arent everything.

obv its not just a player game, but I was listing out the individuals. it was half troll, but when i actually compared the players i was being rational. me comparing players was half a joke in saying which team would win, but the other half was serious on who the better overall players are.
