i respect your choice. in your list above i would still say mako is better than (more valuable) valyn cned trexx kingg chronicle. mako is top 2 smokes, igls now, has insane clutch potential, and can actually aim. trexx is also too recent to really put in this list imo. he is good no doubt, but its been 2 games that he's played a rly high level

sen has rly good twitter content. i dont rly think any teams have good yt content besides maybe prx cuz they do more variety

even him playing ass should be a top20 player. his decision making and aim is insane no matter what

personally i just think hes very precise is what it is. we've seen him play flashy, but he likes to stick to a more precise aiming style. he's kinda like less when aiming, but more flexible.

you could say im yapping or im just bitter, but the only reason i think they won or did good in madrid was bc they played the most as a team during the off season and just had the best chemistry during an event where MOST of the teams were newly formed (besides PRX they just sold). geng just sold rly bad during grands. their strats were good and trades were good dont get me wrong, but their players 2 of their players arent good enoguh to keep the momentum

i mean fnatic did only play one international this year and they lost to the event winning team and had one bad game against fut (though at the time fnatic werent as good). they are good internationally overall. LEV SEN DRX and PRX havent done remotely good internationally as well

i never said they wouldnt make top 8? my whole thread has been winning, grand finals, and top 4 placements. without a doubt DRX PRX TH LEV and SEN have a chance to make it to top 8. and im not talking about FNC's last year, if you actually watch their gameplay everyone is in form. nobody ever said the talent wasn't enough.

i think theyre perfectly rated right now since everyone agrees they're in a slump. we all know they could do better since all of their players are insane.

i think TH have a good chance to get back up, but I really don't see a world where SEN do tbh. Sacy and Zellsis aren't really world class players even if they have a few good matches. zekken after their last performance im worried about consistency issues (ik he can be amazing). tenz is solid and johnqt is solid too.

ngl i wouldnt mind seeing FUT do really well. i like their players

how? FNC without a doubt are the best in EMEA as of this moment and look strong. LEV DRX PRX are all frauds. TH and G2 could beat FNC but that depends on their form especially TH.

i think TH can find form and maybe even sen. as for LEV and VIT, one or two players wont make that much of a difference in a whole tournament. maybe they could carry a match or two, but towards top 4 team games it wont work. i also agree CN is still a bit behind and statistically havent done really well in internatinoals. i could see a PRX revive.

i respect it. the only doubt i have is that NA even though everyone says its a strong region rn, top of NA seems really weak compared to the top of EMEA or APAC. (i dont watch CN so idk). if G2 can convert their dominance internationally i 100% agree.

yeah i completely get your point and do agree. i shouldve titled this thread a bit different or something. i think what i truly meant was like if GenG or FNC were to go against any of those strong teams listed above, they would lose in that grand final. but you never know.

this could be like a TH situation. For example obviously miniboo at an individual level is better than patitek (could argue, but for the most part), but shanghai TH was better than current TH. Leo is obviously a better player than Hiro even if its not by much, but current fnatic look better than before hiro fnatic.

i think they all have potential to get top 3 or 4 any one of those teams. but for winning i think if geng or fnc were in a grand finals with one of those teams listed above, those teams would lose.

personally i think those 6 teams are all incredibly strong, but not champs winning strong. GenG seem like the only truly strong team. TH kinda lost form.

hmm. in the sense of overall strong teams maybe, but teams that could ACTUALLY win champs and seem promising are less. TH PRX DRX G2 LEV etc are all STRONG teams, but none of them besides MAYBE TH or G2 have champs winning potential

everyone expected EG to do well in champions not tokyo. EG was a top team going in champs. yes there are teams that could surprise, but just overall the skill level seems a bit worse

if im being honest DRX are strong rn, but not champs winning strong. they always sell and have two players who are either amazing or mid. G2 are good but DEF not FNC and GenG level good. i can see them getting top 4

The level of skill/teams in 2024 seem way less stronger than teams last year. Last year EG, PRX, LOUD, and FNATIC all had a good chance to win champs going in, but this year it only really seems like GenG and FNATIC.

if im being SUPER honest it all depends on how buzz and foxy9 play. we all know mako flashback are gonna play well, and beyn always does his role well though he could be better. buzz and foxy9 are what determines since they can either play amazing or super bad

if we're being super honest though "w gaming" isn't really something thats INCREDIBLY hard to learn. you just take fights more and play a bit faster. i think any pro who has played ranked in their life can adapt fast. its just how good are they mechanically and their decision making.
