It is actually really complex. Its so mastered that simple looking grenade throw or molly or positioning may have big impact on how the round will play out. It looks simple, but has a lot of elements. Almost every grenade throw has its meaning and stuff like positioning, spawn positions, timings, boosts etc add so much to pro level play. Like I remember watching G2 vs NaVi(?) Mirage and just the amount of awereness and utlity usage both teams had trying to win mid for their AWP players was insane.
This. VLR positives: smaller community so easier to discuss and you recognize people. HLTV positives: way bigger so more variety in out of game topics just like politics, lifestyle etc threads are fun to read at times.
From the games I've played I think Gekko seems pretty weak. Hes usable, but nothing special. I don't think pros will use him unless there's some crazy tech. Just feels that Gekko is like hybrid of many things, but isn't that strong in single one of them.
Nice for custom games to practice. Also really hope they keep the ability to put console commands so your last granade gets re-thrown in press of a button. Makes checking lineups and especially for popflashes etc so much better. Lineup practicing in Valorant is garbage, but luckily lineups are usually easier there.
CSGO already has like 34 different weapons according to Google compared to Valorant's 17, so that really isn't a problem.
New maps get released all the time because its community driven. And decent amount of those have even been added to competitive mode. There's like 13 maps in active competitive mode pool. Only reason why you see so much of Mirage, Inferno, Nuke, Dust 2 etc is because they are by far the community favorites.
New granades would be cool, but I don't know what they could add without ruining the core mechanics. And smoke changes completely change how they function and will also change how HE granades are used.
and they have multiple characters models for you to buy, but yeah change to the default ones would be cool even if they are iconic models.
Some don't seem to understand that souce 2 update was never supposed to be a completely new game. Its CSGO moved to new engine and most have known that since the rumors started years ago. What we got was more than I expected. Also people mention OW2 all the time, but its the exact same thing. OW2 was not supposed to be a new game, it was an update to OW1. Its just a rebrand to make it more marketable. Also almost no one wanted them to change core CSGO mechanics and they didn't. Same with maps that are some of the most iconic and well received in FPS gaming history. Also switch to Source 2 opens up a lot of new possibilities in the future. Let it be custom maps that are already cool in CSGO to new modes like when they added BR mode in Danger Zone. Also I don't get these engine comparisons when to my understand Source 2(2015) is Valve's newest and Source 1 got released in 2004. Like that is a massive difference.
Its literally ESL's CS twitter page
I feel like The Finals will die pretty quickly. Its was pretty fun (outside of input lag and other issues) but I just feel its too basic or souless in a way. Typical arena type shooter like Lawbreakers that will dissapear pretty fast. Its so forgettable for me. Also I didn't like the gunplay at all and TTK felt super high. Really hope it does well though because of ex-Dice devs and ofc more good games the better.
Am I the only one who hates these "rounded" stages? I way prefer simple straight desk stages like most esport do. Like based on this picture I think LEC studio looks way nicer to my eyes. Valorant stages try to be too unique and different while looking so cheap or something. Just desks with some light bars in them in rounded formation. But overall looks nice and higher budget than I expected.
Both are fun. Valorant is fun because its always exciting to learn new agents and lineups/setups. You get really different experience depending on which agent you play, and also the games change a lot depending on comps the teams are running. Also because Valorant feels way easier in entry level average players usually get some value out of their utility. Like you rarely walk into site without smokes or info stuff because they are super simple abilities to use. While when you play CSGO in MM or low/mid Face It no one knows any smokes. Maybe there's like one guy who knows B window or A stairs smokes on Mirage but outside of that it can be really shitty experience. Stuff like double smoking Nuke outside to enter secret is something no one I've played with knows about while in Valorant even irons would do it.
While in opposite side I think CSGO gunplay is better and more rewarding and requires more skill. Valorant simple gun mechanics are fun sometimes because it forces you to click head, but I really like CSGO spray.
like both games have their negatives and positives. Overall Valorant games feel more "complete" because of easy to use utility, while CSGO feels more sweaty because team that knowns their shit will fuck you up.
Yep City Skylines is good game but base game has pretty limited amount of content and buying all DLCs is expensive
Likely, but we will see how Valve markets this game. Like they will definitely try to hop into Asian market and I think the new art direction could be more attractive for Asian audience(just assuming not saying it will). Also countries like China have ok CSGO scene to my understanding and is especially pretty big in skin trading. Riot went hard on other markets outside of west and Valve could do something similar. Especially China could become big in CS2.
I think it looks good. Ofc hard to say how it will actually work. Overall makes smoke spam more risky, but also potentially allows for good plays in pro level. Like imagine AWP holding smoke and then teammate from different position shooting holes to it or nading for fast AWP kill etc. Has a lot of potential and is something unique that new version of CS needs.
Maybe he will be IGLing? And overall I think Fokus needed some changes. purp0 is good, but I feel like they are missing something.
Replays and placeable bots on custom lobbies to practice lineups etc or just site execs with crosshair placement etc.
Do people actually face many cheaters or are they just thinking so when getting skill diffed by people? I haven't in long time faced single hacker playing in MM. In past 3 years I've had like 2 clear cheaters.
yeah it looks bit odd but I think its better because maps like Ancient look so shit because of textures and colors I guess now they can make more clear maps that aren't just grey mixed with green etc.
holy W but damn they made CSGO look a lot like Valorant
Yes but if talking about CSGO they only have 1 German player and if Valorant then of course since they play in DACH league but aren't considered top tier 2 team.
They have decent presence in LoL (LEC) and of course they have BIG in CSGO. But overall pretty small for country so big.
I'm pretty sure Liquid guys have been talking how all of them share similar vision of how team should work and how you should talk about stuff openly and not just be quiet if you don't like something. Liquid looked bad in Lock In. And even though you can't just blame 1 part of the team you can't pretend like their calls or adaptations were good. Also as much as I like Redgar, his calling didn't always look that good on M3C last year.
Yep its very alive and has one of the best movements and gunplay mechanics out of any currently relevant game IMO really satisfying. And yeah Titanfall 2 was goated please Respawn make Titanfall 3...
Current rotation of games I play mostly: Destiny 2, Valorant and Apex Legends.
what is your purpose? is it just to study web development, get a job, get fit? wwhy is everyone doing the same thing over and over?
I mean that is the thing with most of these rosters. No one really knows how they will perform once they get more games in.
Both games are good and can co-exist. I prefer Valorant right now, but CSGO is good as well. Only problem I have with CSGO is that I only care about the playing, but stuff like rank etc is something I don't care about at all. While in Valorant I care about my rank and feel like it means something. This is because CSGO mm is bad and ranks don't mean anything because of Face It etc.
Suygetsu and Crashies are not overrated. And I don't think people rate keloqz that high anyway. Asuna and Bang are bit overrated tho, especially Asuna. Bang is good and promising but some people were calling him best or 2nd best controller in the world pre Lock/In like what?

Pacific and its not even close. Both Americas and EMEA are some of the worst league logos I've seen. Both look like factions logos in some random Chinese free to play team deathmatch based game.
damn actually pretty interesting tournament
No Americas = green, EMEA = purple/yellow, Pacific = blue
Its not those atm, but the playercards and knife skins from lock in hint for those color schemes.
Really meh logos. Actually I would have hoped they would have taken inspiration from different agents and their "elements" for each region. Like imagine EMEA logo/theme being inspired by Phoenix(UK) with fire/red/orange theme. Pacific logo being inspired by Jett(KR) with "cloud"/light blue/white theme. And then Americas regions being inspired by like Viper(US) with poison(smoke)/green/black theme. Would have looked way better.
I guess they already kind of did that, like EMEA is clearly inspired by Killjoy with the X and yellow/purple colors. Also Americas logo is likely inspired by Brims stim icon. And Pacific maybe by Harbor (wave makes sense outside of him as well). But they just looks off and could have been done way better.
Both EMEA and Americas logos are terrible. Pacific is pretty clean and at least represents something.
Possible but hard to say. I think its still possible even with the meta changes. CSGO meta changes as well (even if it isnt as drastic) and Astralis took it to next level.
if xms doesn't perform in the league then logan would be good option for them ofc if buyout works.
Hogwarts Legacy and Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order were the latest single player games I played and both good
Yeah for sure, but I just meant that you likely won't spot too many in some poor African country etc
maybe but if I'm not wrong Lewis is IGLing for Fokus so maybe that affects his game style. I overall think he has good mechanics, is flexible and the fact that they made him to IGL likely means he has good takes.
No its not hard to see Asians in Europe or pretty much any developed country. There's many Asians even in my <200k city because of Universities etc and overall people who just have Asian heritage but have born here.
He is with me signing up his contract to join my esports team. News soon.
also vs EGN who are weaker he went +37 in 4 maps
what the fuck is this kamo guy
