take nrg for exampe they prioritized micro over macro and dropped fns for ethan and look how that ended up. when you sacrfice macro for micro it can be a good thing it can also go horribly wrong. but a team has never won a title from micro alone or else prx would have 5 titles by now. my point is i dont think sacrificing macro for micro was the change to get them to champs

ranking where i think the teams will finish not necessarily how good i think they will be this split (did this before any games started just didnt post)

1. TH

   my favorites to win champs im so high on this team every player is insane and their sunset is a super map imo i think this will be the first grand final that they win

2. VIT

   i know now that i was right about the role changes and the removal of salah unlike navi removing doombros i think is a good change because their was conflict between him and one of the players which led to the collapse of the team we saw towards the end of split 1 where as navi wasnt underperforming they just made a change to make a change but vitality on the other hand last split beat th and fut both teams who made shanghai and fell apart halfway into the split even so if they won against koi they would have been top seat in their group. i think with the new direction this team takes this split they will be more consistent and qualify.

3. GX

   this team clearly lacked time together in split 1 nonetheless they played a lot of teams close but just couldnt close the games out kinda like kru last year i think with the time off they will get their shit together and have a good split 2 and squeak into playoffs and then will just be able to squeak past kc to get a spot in champs

4. FNC

   have looked very shaky all year and went on a miracle run to get to shanghai just to bomb out plus the removal of leo is why i think this team will qualify on points and i really dont think the new patch favors fnatic at all

5. KC

   they got a much needed break and i think engh with some time will cook i could easily see this team making champs if they fix their midrounding issue but i have higher stocks in a couple other teams that maybe i shouldnt

6. FUT

   i really dont know what to think of fut they are decent with insane levels of firepower they have a good record so i think playoffs will be a lock i just dont really have much stock in them but maybe with some time the new patch could help them a lot cNed on iso could be insane

PLAYOFF TEAMS

7. NAVI

   i used to be an fpx fan but the hard truth is they have barely improved in the last year and their comps and role swaps make no sense maybe like always if they get their shit together they could be great but im not on the navi train at all plus the coach change is just a prime example of a panic button change

8. BBL

   pretty sure theres a group of people who think bbl are good i dont see that but they did get decent results in split 1 just falling short and i think they have some good players they could do better than i expect but i dont see them making playoffs

9. TL

   no roster changes after the disaster that was enzo's calling and that embarrassing choke against fnatic this team truly has the choke gene more than anyone else i dont rate them at all besides nats and keiko who has his moments

10. KOI

    they have nothing to play for which is exactly why i think they will play better than m8s but i dont have much confidence in it they looked terrible in split 1 but did improve towards the end

11. M8

    looked shit in split 1 they play comps that make no sense plus they have a 6 man roster now i really just dont see them doing much maybe an upset on a underperforming team if the coach does some godlike anti but i just dont see the vision

ranking where i think the teams will place not necessarily how good they will be this split (did this before we saw any games just didnt post it)

1. RRQ

   a bit of hopium i cant lie but the monyet addition i think is a good change as long as it doesnt hurt their macro too much the skill celling is defiantly increased and a underperforming PRX and GenG (who they already beat granted they werent in shanghai form) they get to study i think this team could do real damage

2. GenG

   Great team won shanghai i was hyping this team up even before they were deep in kickoff and i honestly thought they should have won madrid it was their game to lose and they choked bind away but good to see them bounce back i dont think they will be as dominant come champs but leading up i dont see their form wavering too much

3. TLN

   they have showed great macro which a lot of apac teams lack and have improved drastically from their first game i think this team will only get better with time and the new patch i believe will help them a lot

4. PRX

   massively underperformed to everyones expectations in shanghai and the new patch i think will hurt them a lot at first but they will still qualify by points and will be competitive for champs i just dont think they will have a great split

5. DRX

   this team similar to rrq decided to prioritize micro over macro and drop their igl so i think firepower wise they will be great but the inexperience of the team and the lack of a central voice will lead to them falling short of champs

6. T1

   i think the stax addition is good but i cant rank this team any higher because of how inconsistent their comps are, the new player change will probably effect their macro drastically, and they have a piss poor record they might not even make playoffs so its hard to say i believe they will but im not confident about it

PLAYOFF TEAMS

7. GE

   i see sparks of greatness with this team but there seems to be clear issues with the consistency of macro and fragging i hope benkai being the primary igl is the fix to these issues and i could see them being competitive but i dont see a world where they make playoffs

8. TS

   i thought they looked decent in split 1 i mean they beat prx but they seem to always fall short when it matters and just exist as a gatekeeper team and removing warbirds mid season might be the stupidest decision i have seen this year hopefully the new players are good but i dont have high hopes for this team

9. DFM

   i might be the only person who thinks dfm isnt total shit i see good calls here and there plus meiy is a beast but they just get guy diffed to the max and its hard to win when thats happening

10. BLEED

    bl00d + crazyguy addition does not inspire much confidence they might be as good as they were in ascension if their lucky

11. ZETA

    these guys are utter dogshit who people only rate from past accomplishments they havent been good for years now and lack fundamental understanding of some maps im so low on this team i dont think i could be lower on a team

TSM or DZ but realistically idc whoever the most competitive team is should ascend
