i’ll bring mine back when wardell stops subbing :)
tsm wins this and loses in the ro16? this is simply their trend in open quals…
This girl kisser squad is actually a lot more stacked than the GK that tsm played in stage 1. i could see them upsetting LG maybe… it’s technically the RNG core under another name ig
nt stealthy
eUnited had a val roster?
clearly they want to give some ro128 exposure to teams that won’t make it far in the tourney. aka free agent teams and gamechanger teams. missing ur fav team curb stomp immortals in the ro128 shouldn’t be a high pressure match.
i mean, maybe. i think they would beat the likes of geng, faze, t1, darkzero, eg, etc. would likely struggle against 100t and any tier1 teams.
this is actually fantastic. nothing wrong with “inviting” certain teams to events, especially if they’re paying to be there thus ensuring pursuit of quality.
there def needs to be relegations after each season, hopefully a couple open qualifier spots too.
third party tournaments and in-game tournaments (which i assume will be like rocket league lol) are also great for moving the valorant esport scene forward.
wippie got his visa figured out, hoping wardell still gets to play in the Open Qual.
My gf said I was a nerd for playing Valorant and should try Genshin Impact instead to be more manly and that made me cry.
i’m fine with players finding new teams and all. but i’d rather they be gracious about it, rather than shitposting cryptic stuff on twitter and leaving their fans out to dry. wardell is still my fav but i lost some respect for him over how he handled it.
i personally won’t attack ur rank, but i will say that i watched every round of TSM valorant bc i was unhealthy about it. and they lost a lot of attack rounds when wardell just lurked on the other side of the map and couldn’t find a pick. conversely, they won a lot of rounds when they methodically took space as a team and let the awp clear angles. so in a way i think ur right, but tsm just didn’t know wtf they were doing imo.
yeah i think that’s a possibility. or they’ll do something slightly different, a lot of comps are viable with the current meta-less “meta.” that’s for them to decide, and i’m sure they have a plan, they seem more prepared than a lot of other NA teams at least.
if V1 fails to qualify then I’d be willing to admit Wardell is part of the problem. but then again he’s just a temp sub. kind of like how tsm fans defend their losses when seven/gMd were new.
on jett absolutely ur right. on chamber idk, kinda looked like they left him alone esp on defense. they were more supporting corey, maybe left 1 of 2 initiators with wardell to take space for him early.
i’m pretty sure wardell’s stats are the best in the game if that’s what u mean. and he’s gone positive in 1v1 engagements with yay every time they played. so i think we’re on the same page here…
honestly penny plays raze/jett and zellsis plays neon/kayo, let effys fill smokes when he has to. they’ve got plenty of flexible players, shouldn’t be an issue. plus, chet said wardell was open to learning other agents for tsm but didn’t have time. he can even make omen/kayo awp work in ranked - if it can suffice in ranked, it can likely be implemented in a team environment with better support and set fallback plans. except u can’t awp entry with kayo or awp lurk on omen. like i said, would require team structure to figure out
not once in the 3 times they played
his TEAM def got diffed tho, tsm is roughhhh lol
yeah. wippie is great, don’t get me wrong, but as a mere stat checker he was ~4th on the team. he had impact, played a few non-fragging agents, etc, so I get it. ultimately penny would play any duelist and not chamber while wardell played chamber and picked up sage/kj on a couple maps. and he can do that on V1 since he doesn’t have to be THE STAR for the team to succeed. that’s my biased take at least. hopefully he’s not still running full time chamber. the best can awp without a get-outta-jail-free card.
what a genuine guy, this site needs more ppl like u ❤️
wardell > seven (as an awper)
zander > subroza (as a leader, aim both good)
penny >= corey
Zellsis > gMd
Effys <= Rossy
ur right, finally a team on which he can relax and perform a role. wippie was 4th on the team by ACS through Stage 1, and any upgrade to that from Wardell could put them on LAN fr.
eh they’re just trolls or haven’t watched enough CS/Val to understand the value of saving an awp.
flair has been changed :) go prove ur still in contention for best awper NA wardell!
hell yeh V1 fan, i’m joining the bandwagon bc wardell
Nearest Airport, V1, TSM
Liquid, Gambit
PRX
I don’t imagine most ppl recognize me, I’m not very vocal or provocative, but I’m officially changing my flair to V1 for this qualifier since my fandom for Wardell > my fandom for his ex-team TSM. Not that anyone has to care, but I’m going on record of doing it now.
oh yes, i actually got those confused 😬
imo squirrel warriors actually won’t amount to much, i’ve never understood the rabid wedid fanbase, and ethos is less qualified to be a pro than governor.
but Nearest Airport and Clanless should fucking smack
if NRG gets rid of eeiu and tex then maybe they would have a chance
EG wins vs ZMM prob
yeah #3 vlr has to update rosters manually iirc, they couldn’t update the +seven -wardell move until the first match ended without him.
i don't think the ro128 sets the ro32 bracket
sign skuba instead of seven? so then you have 3 smokes mains with gMd and Subroza… idk about that.
the obvious move was keep Wardell and sign gMd over Aleko.
he’s the most accomplished CSGO coach that switched to Valorant as far as I know, and it turns out his interview was honest although rather brusque. And he gave TSM their only relevance since 2020 by helping them finish top 5 NA by winning the 2nd NA Playoffs qualifier for Berlin, so I have nothing bad to say.
Surely they give NA 3 slots for Masters 2…?
I’d say OpTic, C9, and V1 (Wardell stanium) qualify.
yeah, he’s 26, which is stereotypically old in CS. then again, Cadian and Device are also 26 iirc, and older players have maintained their skill awping before.
for kennyS, it actually comes down to being washed, which isn’t solely dependent on age. personally i think his quick flick play style isn’t as sustainable with age as careful smart awping, but idk.
not that i agree with their philosophy. ironic, too, considering 100T wanted an awper who’s better than asuna. i don’t think will is that guy, although he will be a decent entry player. ultimately they whiffed on the best NA awper available, and i think they’ll regret it.
i think V1, on the other hand, will do great. Shit, I could even see Wardell picking up KJ and Sage on a couple maps if they absolutely need it (to mirror Wippie exactly). He’s awped on Sage before, although with less impact, and I’m sure he’s eager to prove that he can awp on KJ just like mitch, steel, and nivera.
This is his first team since peak 2020 Drone/Subroza that has players similar to him in skill. He wouldn’t have to carry every match, just focus on doing his job. I’m very interested to watch him in this Open Qual, assuming Wippie doesn’t get back first. And I want absolutely nothing bad for Wippie, but it would be cool to see Wardell stick with V1 if they perform well.
if they didn’t get wardell then they aren’t interested in kennyS lol
wins champions 2022
wins champions 2023
wins champions 2024
retires and hopefully becomes my sugar daddy with his career earnings
I miss seeing C9 Valorant aka Chaos Esports Club CSGO on the global stage.
1st in a Masters, 2nd in a Masters, which is already more than SEN did internationally. I’m honestly super happy for him and the other OpTic players.
i remember when valorant updated the agent models in the killfeed. i thought it was bad at first but honestly it’s clean af. they need to update the pictures of the 5x5 players at the top and also the player models in the voice chat to match.
kind of off topic but the weird UI made me think…
it would be a win for NA just for Complexity to qualify to a 250k Dallas IEM event lol. don’t even get me started on EG lol 😢
NA just sucks so much man, OpTic never stood a chance obviously ;)
did you just say NA deserves death threats for "dissing" their opponent? that's more "cringe" imo, modify your beliefs and calm down friend.
did dephh start that connection for you?
he wasn’t really an awper in CS, not as much as Shahzam or Wardell at least.
but i probably misunderstood, you may just be stating that awpers are needed in valorant and yay fills that role per request.
NA and BR viewership goes hard.
For reference, IEM Katowice 2022 peaked at 1.1 million viewers.
It’ll be interesting to see how Valorant’s grand final compares.
OpTic vs LOUD and ZETA both hovered below 800k.
I expect viewership to peak around 900k-1.1mil but wouldn’t be surprised if it went higher.
