why do people act like steel is such a good IGL? he was never that great or successful in CS, as far as I can tell. it’s not like iBP was winning S-Tier LANs. Ghost was decent but he was carried by stars Wardell/Koosta and still never won much. He was decent on Chaos EC, too, but never a top IGL from what I’ve seen.

I guess he won First Strike and finished 3-4th at a LAN, so maybe 100T fans gassed him up. Even then, he was getting carried like FNS with nitr0, ethan, and asuna of all people. He hasn’t been worth anything at T1 without those players.

I don’t mean to hate but he’s not in the conversation of best NA CS IGLs, and I don’t understand how he gained such a reputation in Valorant.

nah, idc what orgs make it. and there’s no way to predict what riot will allow. nobody is keeping their rosters except optic. too much wasted talent if so. so a combo xset/sen roster and a combo c9/v1 roster could very well happen imo. idc what org they play under.

realistically, I think BcJ and Ayrin are the weakest players on XSET and will get replaced when franchising causes rosters to consolidate. players like SicK, maybe even Shahzam (would be a throwback to the Complexity CSGO roster that made quarterfinals at a major), could be options.
but dephh would have to keep IGLing for them to have success imo.

and instead of mitch/5th, it's two better talents. might have a chance idk. i want wardell on a team so maybe he joins instead of wippie, but that's just personal bias.

if they make it then they’ll just buy a new roster. the current one can’t even compete in NA Tier 1. maybe keep zellsis and zander, or just combine with C9 as vanity, xeppaa, leaf, wippie, and zellsis. this’ll be the common theme outside of OpTic, XSET, and maaayyyybe FaZe/NRG.

ok so pro league in csgo is like the least serious S Tier event. the playoffs are LAN, the group stage is LAN. not only that, but the conference stage to even qualify for group stage is LAN. not ONLY THAT, but they have Challenger LANs to earn a spot in conference stages (ex: valencia has one starting july 1st).

that may be a bit overkill but still, i’m happy to see valorant closing the gap next year. 3 lan events per year was way too few.

yay cryo dicey and wardell is def a good top 4 NA list. if NA only has 4 teams in franchising, i think those 4 should be the chamber/awpers. i’m admittedly too ignorant to rank players outside NA so props for such a nice list.

optic is still the best team NA, even though they've finished 2nd twice in a row locally. it is what it is. mfers kept trying to go mid on ascent and it never worked.

i won't argue with the complete player part. he's improved with rifling but still not the same. he is an awper after all, and awping is easier and less frequent in valorant, which is why i kinda want him to go back to csgo. NA needs him.

this is why i don’t waste my time watching regional valorant anymore. The only consistent team is OpTic, and I hope they continue to win events and dick all over the other teams. Along w maybe Fnatic.

i actually do wish wardell would go back to CS. when he left, he was being considered for the Liquid AWPer, but that eventually went to oSee. I think he’s better than Junior and pwnalone, and probably equal to CeRq (those are the top 4 NA teams). plus then i could watch him play more, since cs actually has multiple events and crowd LANs.

when franchising happens and teams get shuffled around, the only NA chambers that should be guaranteed a team are Yay, Wardell, and Cryo. Those are the only consistent talents. He’ll be back if he wants.

TSM has been popular since the beginning of the game. Plus they have a main team, academy team, and female team, showing their commitment to growing the scene. I assume they were rejected since they weren’t good enough (only top 12 with limited spots)? Then again, EG hasn’t been consistent, and C9 struggled this event. Plus, how could you not bring in OpTic immediately.

Zellsis is struggling with motivation, possibly some form of mental struggles, and will be stepping down for a while.
Wardell/Wippie situation isn’t ideal for either player, because the team is either playing with a sub or with a teammate who hasn’t practiced in weeks. I’m honestly surprised Wardell didn’t continue to fill in the second qualifier; it was only four more days of practice for Wippie.
Penny didn’t perform, Effys is a weaker link, and Zander had to deal with it all as IGL.

At the end of the day, they are inconsistent just like every other team. Consistent players, at least in NA, wouldn’t have moved from the CSGO scene.
