IMO if we want a more competitive scene and higher level of teams we should have less regions and obviously a 24 slot tournament or a playin phase like challengers stage in csgo, for me the regions should be:

• Europe: open qualifiers where all EU, CIS and Turkey playing in the same qualifier like CS where they united CIS+EU, its a stupid division imo since there is no ping problems or anything they just do it for viewership, expected from riot tho
• Americas: Half the teams qualify from NA and the other half from Latam(keeping the LAN/LAS division for ping reasons) and giving Brazil its own qualifiers instead of having a unified LATAM qualifier so it should be like 50% NA, 25% Brazil and 25% LATAM teams for the event that qualifies you to international LANS
• Asia: APAC North/APAC South + Australia + China, Asia is a hard one because of ping something like this could work imo, all those subregions have qualifiers for a big Asia LAN Challengers event that qualifies to Masters
• MENA: Idk why there is this little interest in developing this region of the world, insane potential, a lot of resources + big potential playerbase that speaks the same language, could be the best region itw if its helped to develop
• South Africa: This one is unreaslistic af probably but there is a good csgo community there so you could give them a slot or something just to at least have some subsaharan african representatives lol

Obviously this is extremely unrealistic because Riot only cares about making esports more regional to secure viewership instead of high quality gameplay which is what a sport should look at but you can expect that from american companies imo, they are more about the spectacle and not the sport, so yeah you cant really say they need to qualify to be considered some of the best players when this format is this unfair tbh

Fnatic: Boaster has a shitty system and they are missing their 2 best players, what would loud without aspas and sacy? nothing, so you cant expect more than what they did imo, pretty unfornutate for them
TL: 5th best team in EMEA at best, considering they are playing proper comps, if not, they are maybe even 7th, no IGL + bad coach, this was their last tournament as 5 as sliggy said, they are getting an igl finally so this was not a bad performance although it could have been better for a dead team who is barely top5 in EMEA
G2: The best behind FPX, Gambit and probably new Acend. 5 solid players and a system that works, great coach too, probably top4 EMEA. They are in upper semifinals although they got an easy first match against zeta, the real test will be today against loud, and considering liquid almost beat them and g2 easily beat zeta I think G2 should win this one, also way more experienced than loud, probably the best team in the tournament imo
