and Leo is considered one of the best initiators in EMEA, if not the best, you'd be crazy to let him go to another team
This had to happen and everyone knows it, definitely a great player a few years back but this is just how the valorant scene goes, not a place for him on NRG but I guess EG or C9 could benefit by picking him up (though it's time for t2 initiators like Verno to have their chance in t1).
You ain't winning shit with that roster, bro
We get that Boaster is mechanically terrible but he's still considered an A tier igl and without him the entire FNC system might break down (like NRG looking worse with Ethan igling instead of FNS). I'm thinking that FNC is letting go of Derke because they're trying to find a way to get better results without taking the risk of losing their igl, so this is what has to be. You'd be insane to not let Leo back onto your active roster and Hiro was temporary so that's understandable, the gamble is bringing in a new duelist.
I think if FNC flops one more time they're taking the risk of a new igl
All washed I'm afraid, but I guess yays getting a second chance so hope he redeems himself
Killjoy isn't super hard to play, don't think he'd have a hard time learning her
too many cooks in the kitchen, saadhak nats patitek hiro all on the same team sounds iffy because of roles issues, patitek and hiro's roles would clash and I'm not sure about sentinel, where's the controller player?
I don't think FNC really cares about a sentinel player all that much if they're dropping Hiro, they must want Alfa to stay on sentinel. I'm assuming they're signing a duelist and leo is coming back.
Don't worry, China Ascension starts soon so we'll know who the champs winner will be in a few years
if runner remains the sentinel player on vitality instead of the org signing hiro then emea needs to be shut down
stax
rb
zest
yoman
izu/seoldam
honestly a great roster on paper, there is 0 reason for carpe to be in tier 1 next year, there's far superior korean talent that deserve a chance
xcurrate is good but he's honestly a bit overrated on T1, I'd be fine with him going to a different team
There's got to be more than 10 tier 2 players that are more deserving of a team than qck and redgar, though qck might work on mibr or furia
im sure 'jinggsfamilylawyer' is an S tier shitposter and not at all an obvious kid trolling
Honestly I don't remember much from AAK this year. I was more impressed with Eren and Hfmi. Doesn't sound like a change that would make much difference. They need another A tier player and better strats.
I'm predicting a Riddle Order vs Full Sense grand final, but SPG is also a big contender
rep riddle order to win ascension
riddle order best team
joxjo my favorite player
I would put EDG around 3rd best team this year. Some don't believe they were better than SEN but I think they were considering they made it to all 3 internationals and beat SEN to win champs. But GENG were the better team. Not just looking at stats, but just use your eyes. GENG played unbelievably good valorant. Like out of this world good and their Shanghai form was unmatched.
"teams like Th, lev, or sen played objectively better valorant" eh that's just not entirely true. Zmjjkk and S1mon's teamplay was arguably the best of the tournament. That was objectively excellent valorant. You really were not seeing flash initiators and duelists THAT coordinated and that successful with their plays and timings. Also Nobody outcalled every igl in the tournament except valyn. He definitely called some rough maps (Haven against TH) but for a new igl he called objectively great site executes. EDG definitely played good valorant with actual teamwork. If they were playing 'chinese valorant' like FPX does they wouldn't have won shit.
Agree on everything except T1. They had an underwhelming year overall but were nowhere near the worst pacific team and at least made it to one international. There's a ton of Korean talent that deserve a tier one slot. T1 have potential to be a strong team next year.
One of the main issues with EG was the lack of firepower. If Jawgemo wasn't farming it was gg. Keeping Apoth would be a major burden I think. He's one of the least effective lurkers in tier 1.
Yeah not quite yet, just something to keep an eye on
There's some sources on chinese social media saying that it's likely that Haodong will get signed by another org. Which would actually help the Chinese region since he's one of their most experienced igls. A team like TEC which has struggled with their igling would benefit by signing Haodong.
for me its
NAVI derke
FURIA sacy
EG yay
SEN sinatraa
KOI demon1
TL patitek
did i cook?
Riot tried to make KangKang the main character all year (he proved he was), a lot of promotional material involved him. He's very flashy and reactive so he's perfect to put in the clips. They also want eyes on the Chinese scene.
The Yoru comp on Haven was one of the best in the world so good point there
If this means Leo is coming back then probably, but might miss Bangkok. Largely depends on how the other EMEA teams look after the offseason and roster changes as well.
Nah -kicks +patitek is all Vitality needs to change
Isn't FNS staying with NRG? In that case signing yay would make sense since FNS can't play anything other than sentinel, they need an igl that knows how to call a map and with Demon1 likely being back that's too many cooks in the kitchen. EG would be the best choice for him. -apoth +yay and if Potter doesn't leave EG I'm sure she'd love to work with yay.
Derke and Patitek on the same team would go crazy actually
Would that mean Ardiis gets released? Derke would be a major upgrade let's be real here
Maybe they feel pressured to make roster changes after such an underwhelming year? Boaster would have to be replaced with at least an A tier igl and that's easier said than done. He's crucial to their entire system. Derke's a really good player but you'd be crazy to let go of Leo in favor of Hiro, but Hiro's also too good of a prospect to pass up.
Tbf Aspas has a very passive playstyle, 22 opening attempts in the Lower Final compared to KangKang's 52 opening attempts in the Grand Final and Aspas is very often the last one alive for his team. He's mechanically an unbelievable player but not really a flashy entry duelist.
now he can leave bumea and go to a real region like china, TYLOO Derke would be great
Will it be streamed on youtube?
Nobody and Haodong are the two best igls from China. Haodong has called some great matches throughout his career. Won them a ton of trophies regionally and called some really good games on the international stage. Unfortunately he fell off this year but excelled as the AC so still big credit to him.
Anyone saying Berlin is the best igl is crazy. He hasn't been able to win a single tier 1 trophy, never outcalled EDG when it mattered the most. We saw glimpses of greatness in Shanghai but their year ended on a low note.
PRX should take notes from EDG. They need a good initiator. Forsaken is a great player but his initiator utility is nowhere near top level. Both him and Davai were dying with full utility left and right, or not using their utility to support their duelists. Compare that to how well S1mon and Zmjjkk play together. Difference is night and day.
A full time duelist and a good initiator would solve a lot of their problems. The individualistic something/Jinggg plays aren't cutting it anymore. Having both of them on the team with their limited roles has become a burden on the international stage. Also a 2nd coach.
