lol. teams grew since lock//in, PRX got bodied in groups and now they're one of the strongest teams. NRG look up and down but aren't really growing at the same rate as some of the other teams, if they can sort it out in 3 days, they got a chance tho

They aren't bad, other teams just improved drastically. As Nitr0 said, the other regions work their asses off on a fraction of the salary to win, a lot of NA culture prefer the content and talking big. EDG is said the be scrimming all day every day to 9pm, they stop at nothing for the trophy. Improve the work ethic and we can be just as good.

They usually don't run all of lowers, they make it to the upper final, lose and then rematch, the only time they actually ran all of lowers was VCT Americas and they did a pretty long run in Tokyo. They won against DRX in lowers after losing to LOUD in upper finals in 2022 Champs, Masters 2022 they lost to FPX in lowers after losing to PRX in upper finals, they came back from losing to LOUD in uppers to winning against ZETA then LOUD in grand finals in 2021.

But I do think NRG/Optic core is a pretty gritty combo and s0m and ardiis are actually good pickups, but the core is showing a bit of age compared to the current squads which are all mechanically elite.

You get better by playing on the international stage and facing teams around the world, many of whom had head starts facing world class players and teams in past tournaments. If we're being realistic many of the franchising teams in every other regions do not deserve to be in Champs over BLG or FPX.

So more teams get international experience instead of EDG wiping the floor every time and getting the one slot

I agree but philosophically I think it's not good to suppress things with a zero content policy. People yo-yo diet, relapse and binge on drugs and alcohol, etc. The truth is that you can self control but when things get out of control it's better to be able to know how to moderate yourself at baseline over your lifetime rather than binging and purging. Understanding where it comes from and how that fits into your life positively or negatively in an honest way is the better way of dealing with things, for addicts its much easier said than done than to just leave for good, you have to come up with an alternative that's meaningful to that person.

imo dopamine releasing things aren't a problem and you can get addicted to anything really, some things are just much less productive than others. explicit content isn't really a problem, it's when people are out of control with using it, it just happens that things like porn and games are easy to access and is somewhat addictive. every kid now has a phone or computer and you can get instant access to gratification. knowing how to wield your dopamine in the right way is now more important than ever, you gotta know when to stop wankin it, shut down valorant, or not eat the whole carton of ice cream and seek the alternative productive activity that works for them, rather than teaching people to say "absolutely no games, no porn, no junk food", but to do it less often and focus on more meaningful things to you.

If EG is that high up so is EDG. NRG, EDG, TL are about the same level imo. PRX and EG in their own. LOUD, KRU, GIA, T1 are similar if rumors are true and DRX right below that, then the rest of the teams will play some messy games and can go any way, though I would favor FPX at the bottom.

In the off season, I can believe they will bounce back. I can excuse coming in 2nd LCQ bc of VOD review and low prep time but the amount of bad performances and getting owned by KOI and even almost KC was too much to believe that in 2 weeks they'll come back
