mechanically speaking top 5-6 EMEA is at least as good as top 3 americas imho, i mean you have 3 or 4 players on some teams that you can make an argument for being the top 10 best mechanical players
NA have some smart plays though, ngl, which make them dark horses for a deep run

FUT has better firepower than both but inferior stratbook, they need more experience but they improved a lot imho, dark horse contender. i'd say better than c9 but worse than nrg if ardiis activates

1. fnc loud drx
2. liquid prx navi (very close)
3. nrg/c9 eg fut
4. edg t1 ase
   i think navi belong close to the top if prx does too, i don't think firepower is navi's problem, they just don't have a deep stratbook and just aimbot onto a site at 30s half the time. suygetsu and shao continue being some of the best mechanical players and cned is def doing his job typically though he didn't show up at all at the fnc series, zyppan slouched a bit thats the only person i think fell behind mechanically but he's not really that far behind. it's just that as teams grow and players get more talented they're more comparable in firepower and you need strategy and macro to defeat them. hopefully they go back and review the vods and work on some strats rather than overcooking some insane 1v4 suygetsu/shao go kill strats

liquid looks better by the day as well from a fundamentals and antistrat perspective, their biggest deficiency isn't being sayf reliant imho it's their shallow map pool, i think liquid are awful on lotus and haven, if they rectify that they will make a very deep run

i also think eg are better than edg, t1, ase even without demon1, with demon1 i'd put them right alongside nrg, i think everyone in the 3rd tier are dark horses and could make unlikely but possible deep runs though eg least likely w/o demon1, nrg if they qual might be the most likely but ardiis needs to play on point and imho they need a player that can lurk like marved did.

i've had EG in the middle as a dark horse after watching the KRU and FURIA games; saw a lot of potential in the synergy between boostio, c0m and demon1. if you told me at the beginning of the event that EG was going to tokyo, yea i would've laughed you out but after seeing their recent performance nah i'm not surprised. i didn't have EG beat NRG but i had them make the lower bracket run but after they beat NRG i thought C9 was gonna definitely fall, i didn't think they were going to get totally owned so dominantly though, that was crazy.

agree that americas is better than emea league tho but only because the spread is so high, top 5 emea even in the current state would be equivalent or slightly better than top 5 americas again top heavy, but the bottom half of emea is sort of embarrassing. emea val support is really bad, esp t2

For the other Americas teams, you also have KRU, 100T, FURIA, MIBR, SEN shitting the bed as well, just because the gap is smaller in the NA because FNC is just absolutely different right now doesn't mean your region doesn't have their share of mid teams. There's also major contenders in both regions, no duh bro. FNC and NAVI just have a huge gap under them that's making the scale seem much bigger, but there are def underrated teams in the EMEA region, esp the Turkish teams. IMO the raw talent in EMEA is way higher but they play very braindead and have weak callers and leadership rely on heroics, that's why FNC is so scary since they really have both.

Lacking an aggressive playmaker or a very strong lurker. Ardiis doesn't really fit either category. Yay and Marved played both of those positions, s0m is a beast but he either needs to go duelist or lurk if Vic isn't. C9 now has solid roles, leaf on entry, zel/xep on supp/initiation, jakee on the lurk and runi on IGL, it's classic counterstrike theory. Same with SEN only that TenZ playmaking wasn't really working out, but the lurk made sense and Zekken tho not that aggro is not a bad duelist.
