I like the animation, pretty hype. The musics just not really my taste.

Surprised people don’t talk about this guy more. In most games at champs last year it felt like sometimes he was the only thing keeping Kru back from winning, but I feel like he’s actually been pretty good this year, a really good improvement.

You can kinda get it in the south, you only have to put up with living a 15 min drive away from a third world country.

Idk bro, if a controversial figure is hurting your bottom line I think it’s really hard that they should keep them on their platform for the sake of some moralizing freedom of speech.

Going from a team that imploded in groups, literally going through 2 rosters to placing respectively in challengers 2, then winning lcq is actually a really good success story. Anything from here is just bonus.

Late reply, but it isn’t a reference to anything. Just know that the internet tends to jump to conclusions. In the case of Frank Sinatra, there was a recording that made it look pretty bad for him. In this case there was screenshots so removed from context on both sides that you can’t trust either.

Moral of the story, if anyone post screenshots without posting the entire log, be skeptical of it.

posted about 2 years ago

I think something people aren’t mentioning is the general lack of hyping anything up that isn’t masters. Iirc they did a series of videos on NA talent like subroza and Marved( I think) to hype up challengers 2, but that’s normally the only thing I see. For masters, they put out some pretty sick videos that tease the event and the players attending that generally raises my interest in watching the events.

Also the casting can kinda suck. I love my boy riv, but sometimes it feels like he doesn’t really understand some of the things the pros do.

I don’t really watch any csgo, but it seems that since the game has been a thing for so much longer you have “storylines” that have kinda formed. I.e. s1mple was widely considered the best player but had never won a major, so when we won one, there was a lot more hype. I think Karrigan also had a similar situation.

posted about 2 years ago

This story is actually kinda crazy. Both parties screenshots make the other look pretty bad. I’m sure people won’t jump to conclusions and assign one party or the other blame without waiting for something other than screenshots attacking the others character to come up.

Anyone in high school will hate me for this but catcher in the rye is actually a great book and severely underrated.

Alchemist by Paulo Coelho was good.

I just bought Drive My Car by Haruki Murakami after watching the movie. Haven’t gotten far enough in the story to give a recommendation, but the movie was great.

One is another better than the other. There’s tv shows that are better than anime, and then are some anime that are better than tv shows. With both it feels like you have to wade through 20 shit shows to find 1 or 2 good ones.

However, weebs argue over which 14 year old girl is the hottest, so tv > anime.

Play with someone else, two people with coordination can do pretty well even if the rest of the team isn’t on the same page 100% of the time.

Isn’t Jovi available, might be a good choice if Rawkus decides to go back to competing.

This honestly, the team actually outperformed 99% of peoples expectations for them. Give them more time and they could honestly a somewhat decent team.

Possibly, the competition hasn’t been too strong so far imo. Reject is not known for their fracture. EDG’s matches so far has been dominating on fracture and then being much closer on the rest. NTH fracture is pretty good. Could be a lot closer if NTH don’t ban fracture. Even though NTH is one of my favorite teams, still hope EDG wins for the story.

Back when I was in high school I remember people mostly played league and cs. Though, in university, one kid in a class I was in would wear a Sinatraa jersey.

I don't know if that matters. I think you just have a free agent team that is bought by an org instead of buying them out from another team. The main question is if G2 wants to start to payroll a whole new team in addition to either buying out the contracts of their starting roster or moving them to content creation when it seems the going narrative is they aren't confident in getting partnered in EMEA.

posted about 2 years ago

I think so. Shopify Rebellion was able to buy the LG roster once they became free agents, but that was in NA, I don't know if the emea circuit has different rules.

Ah, I see. The IBP stuff is kinda scummy.

posted about 2 years ago

I never really understood why people hate Shazaam so much. Like I think the screaming is a little cringe, so I don’t watch him. I think it has a lot to do with the IBP situation, because iirc he was the one that basically leaked the throwing, but I thought people generally hated IBP for the the match fixing.

I think you could make a case for Jinggg being the best raze and Reyna player. Not as much Raze since aspas existe. Unless this is of all time, then Asuna is honorable mention for Reyna ^_^

Yes, but iirc he’s only doing content creation until he finishes school.

Idk, C9 is definitely still a great team, but I think that other teams (faze, guard, and possibly 100T) could still beat them. They’ve been playing in some Mickey Mouse tournaments so hopefully that can correlate with a better looking team synergy then in stage 2.

I’m still hoping for SR to go to champs, but I know it’s not likely :)

posted about 2 years ago

Loud right now reminds me of what people were saying about SEN after Reykjavik 1. That they have the 5 best players of each role on one team. However, that didn’t age well, so it’s possible that as time progresses, more BR players are able to meet or exceed the level of the Loud players.

posted about 2 years ago

I thought Xand was pretty good seems like he can play a few roles pretty well. However, I don’t know enough about the BR scene, so there could be another flex player that’s better.

I assume FPX in EU and the zhuque team in CN are owned by the same organization or at least are related . If some how zhuque gets to champions and FPX is also there, would anything happen?

posted about 2 years ago

Are people overhyping Guild? I’ve mostly seen people predicting them to not make it out of groups.

The gambit & acend comebacks by 100T were some of the most entertaining matches to watch.

posted about 2 years ago

Kind of a different topic, and I could be wrong, but does anyone else feel like the majority of players that are in VRL Spain, are not from Spain?

posted about 2 years ago

Same. I thought they were pretty good at champs, surprised they haven’t been invited to other events.

posted about 2 years ago

It’s a shame more teams can’t attend, I think these NTH or CR lineups could also do well at masters. Probably not to the same level as ZETA, but probably make it out of groups.

posted about 2 years ago

I think they also lack a lot of competition. No offense to the BR region, but the competition is just not as high as in a region like emea. I think the team will get better the more LANs they can attend and play against higher quality teams.

posted about 2 years ago

Yeah, but even when Optic played super aggressively on fracture, they just got rolled over. They seem to be really good if the other team can't get a read on them.

posted about 2 years ago

Idk really, he’s not bad on the agent, but it’s not like I see a lot of 100T games and think that his fade was part of the reason they won.
