greatness can be achieved through hard work, plenty of examples in sport. The thing is that most of the guys still had some sorta predetermination or what others call talent. I feel like there is no right or wrong answer in terms of ''hard work or talent'', because it depends purely on the field you choose, the person who has the most talent in the field and who his biggest rival is (because you need a merit to understand how much better the talent is). Some sports it's less (e.g. all esports imo, talent is not as strong as in true sports. Exhibit A: tenz in cs. All the talent in the world, but he wasn't nearly as good as for example elige), some sports it's everything (you are at a huge handicap in the NBA if you are short). Imo the answer is somewhere in the middle and it depends on the volume of talent certain individuals have and the talent a hard worker has, if that kinda makes sense :D For example, to say that Ronaldo is only a hard worker and had no talent is nonsense, the guy is an absolute freak of nature in talent as well. To say that messi is just a genius and doesn't train is also false. in Anime or series or movies, yeah you can have 0% talent 100% hard work or 100% talent 0% hard work characters, but not in real life. There is no correct answer because everyone views talent, hard work and everything around sports differently
