Huh. That's a decent group. I can see BLG out firepowering Kru and defeating Vit because outside of sayf they never ran into a CN team.

Also G2 can't be there i think, no group can have two teams from the same region. It should be geng

posted 4 months ago

Outside of CN? Its MIBR and its not even close

posted 4 months ago

As an apac fans. They should have 3 max. Prx got 2nd place in the prev tourney and drx has always been solid. But whodf needs boom esports there? Probably crashies as he got the funniest ace in his life.

posted 4 months ago

90% a fan favorite (Sen,PRX,FNC) crumbled in the group stage
50% no latam teams in playoffs
10% DRX winning the whole thing

There has been some discussion over spots and whether the fact all region receive equal spots is good or bad. But surely it cannot be as bad as the absolute mess that is champs 2022. If anything we should be glad that format was not kept.

This is later proven that some of the regions , when combined into a massive super region are outcompeted significantly (Sea,JP,BR,Latam) by their counterparts . Obviously some region became better in the franchising era but lets not pretend there's not a lot of free team in 2022

The slots in champs 2022:

Emea: 3 slots
thats ok but imo they need 1 more

Na :3 slots
Thats fair

SEA(APAC without KR JP for those of you who dont know) : 3 slots
Why??? After franchising the only time there are more than 1 SEA team qualifying to international event is champions 2024. And guess what? None of the sea team made it through the group stage. Give that slot to KR

JP : Guaranteed 1 slot...
The only time JP qualify post-Franchising is champions 2023. They did not win a single game internationally after franchising. It is pure lunacy guaranteeing them 1 slot. As per 2024 all JP team are at the bottom tier of pacific

Kr : 1 slot
Are you seriously telling me SEA can field 3 times as many competitive teams as KR?

East asia(JP+KR+Cn) : 1 slot. Fair enough,CN was way worse back then

BR : 1 slot
Questionable as per 2024 all 3 Brazilian teams are the some of the worst teams in Americas. But Loud was excellent at the time so fair enough.

Latam : 1 slot
Eh good enough. Mind you as per franchising Latam was outcompeted by NA and Brazil(2023) with a total of 1 international win and that is after hijacking Brazil's best star.

South America LCQ : 2 slots?
Wtf? This is pure lunacy. As per franchising there has never been more than 2 SA in a masters/champions. why would they need 4? Give the slot to Na/emea

To put this into perspective this is roughly what the teams will be if the same slots are kept in champs 2024.

G2
Sen
100t
Fnc
Vit
TH
PRX
TLN
TS(lol ,and keep in mind apac have improved alot compared to 2022(non prx team were really bad back then))
DFM(lmao)
Geng
EDG
Lev
KRU
Loud(in their current form? Free win)
Furia(this is a team that lost to GE)

posted 4 months ago

Tln and bili bili will destroy KC lmao

posted 4 months ago

Top 3? Maybe , Emea top 3 looks good too, Amer top 2 is good but not sure about keznit gaming.

Top 4? No tln dragged the average down lmao

posted 4 months ago

A combined LCQ with rank 4-6 competing for the last 4 spot in champions would be hype ngl.

But sorry to burst your bubble, based on Shanghai performance if we are looking at it objectively either Pacific (winner) or emea(highest average placement) will get the additional slot.

If its yearlong its pacific (equal performance with americas with the same average placement, slightly better placement in Shanghai, both 1 trophy this year)

posted 4 months ago

Hey c0m didn't go negative today. Truly the greatest player of all time.

posted 4 months ago

The two teams that won this year were also the most flashy team outside of PRX. Are we watching the same zekken and tenz or texture and karon?

Prx is overdoing it ofc, thats an extreme example

posted 4 months ago

Question is what do you do when you face a team with only slightly worse macro but with 3 superstars. Lets just say GenG. We probably will see it in champions.

Using your ai metaphor. An average chess player will absolutely beat the best ai in the world provided the average chess player have a +10 points advantage. Sure GenG or TH or FNC don't have what is an equivalent of +10 points advantage in chess. But its not like they are playing fundamentally bad valorant.

posted 4 months ago

Skrossi beats flor 1 v 1

Not sexist, but nobody is beating skrossi

posted 4 months ago

Because they are boring imo. Its all fundamentals. Im not asking every team to be a PRX or a Geng, but some things like big brain FNS style outplay or Alfajer doing alfajer things and taking over a round is good enough. G2 don't even do those. They are as boring as those mid boring emea team (think Giants last year) but are much better.

Props to them though, G2 don't have a Zekken or an Aspas so they are playing to their strengths to beat teams with those players. Its clearly working.

posted 4 months ago

Drx is a good team.

But tbh yea i agree. The lost to geng too was a stomp

posted 4 months ago

winner: Geng
most overrated team: FPX/Lev
most underrated team: DRX
most overrated player: Miniboo
most underrated player: Lakia
team that is gonna choke and flop in groups: Sen
mvp of the event: Lakia of Valorant
player that pops off on an ass team: KangKang

posted 4 months ago

How is the draw done? If its backstage then sen aint getting a hard group. Riot will want them to have a chance to qualify so they probably put a unbeatable team there and 2 weaker ones

Probably
geng
Cn2nd
Vit
Sen

That being said the hardest group would be

GenG
LEV
TH
BLG

posted 4 months ago

Kru looks mid ngl, they gonna get diffed by teams with players that can shoot better than keznit (cryo)

That being said, i hope they make it.

So apac get a free win lmaooo (its only fair we gave u guys talon)

posted 4 months ago

Man juicy deserved T1. I don't get why Riot didn't let him compete when in tier 1 when he is competing in tier 2 anw.

The original Bleed roster could have had a DRG like year where they are a mid tier team that fluked to a tournament. which is still really good

posted 4 months ago

In order

Emea
Pacific
Americas
China

EMEA have the best average out of the 4 teams,i can see all 4 teams going out of groups but only TH can win the tourney

Pacific is second, Geng and PRX can win the whole thing, DRX have the potency to make a deep run. But TLN outside the secret game have been meh so they drag down the average.

Americas is kinda a mess. G2 can make a deep run but can't the tourney imo. I have no idea if Lev is going to be good or get exposed in international again. Sen is either going to win/go deep or bomb out. The fourth team regardless its Kru ,C9 or 100t is talon tier.

China lowkey looks good. I can see TE,EDG and BLG making out of groups (sorry FPX, you looked horrible the entire split) but none of them are going to win.

posted 4 months ago

BLG
TE
EDG
FPX(they looked horrible split 2 sadly)

The rest are getting nuked so it doesn't matter

posted 4 months ago

Is spanish

2 teams in franchising yet only one player in the entire scene lmaooo...

Meiy alone clears fitinho and the entire spanish scene

Even india have more players than u

posted 4 months ago

This. It reminds me of vct pacific last year. The teams outside of PRX and DRX had obvious frauds and brings down the team level. After one year it was filtered out, with player like Karon ,Jemkin and Izu being stars of their teams. This will happen to CN too

posted 4 months ago

IMo if we are comparing all time records munchkin>boostio (slightly)

Both have 1 trophy and 1 2nd place. But Munchkin makes have like 7 appearances while boostio have 4. Granted NA is harder than KR and is not even close to JP, but he was never close to qualifying in NA before 2023 iirc

Boostio finish top 4 once, but Munchkin won a regional title, those two are about equal imo.

posted 4 months ago

Bru ur Japanese. What region wars?? Your region is the second weakest region in the world after south asia (we are only counting regions with teams). It will be a regional seal clubbing not war.

posted 4 months ago

1 free team from every region is kinda expected ngl.

Last year it was the same

posted 4 months ago

Champs 2022 had

Boom esports
Furia
Kru (each season there's usually only one internationally competitive latam team)
Zeta division

Its not that much different

EDG can beat Emea/APAC/Americas bottom teams like how they beat giants.
Fpx can absolutely beat teams no matter who they are
Blg will once again surprise you
The fourth team might be another drg tier team but lets not act Zeta or Boom was any better

posted 4 months ago

First time? Every single apac team won atleast a match in tokyo. And in Shanghai T1 could have beaten G2

But yes no zeta division this time

posted 4 months ago

Sbe didn't even make it to LCQ lmao

posted 4 months ago

Skill issue

posted 4 months ago

RRQ* got cucked by format

posted 4 months ago

If talon wins this they have the same number of points with ts and they win the head to head

posted 4 months ago

Blud jumped down at the start of a round?

Team skibidi strikes again

posted 4 months ago

He's more of a something.

Insane aim, overheat all the time.

posted 4 months ago

Because TS arguably have the worst fanbase in vct pacific.

Even their own team complaints about them

posted 4 months ago

Something level? From the hype he sounds like some unkillable god of valorant. If vlr is to be trusted he will make peak yay looks like skrossi.

posted 4 months ago

And his t2 record is not even that impressive. Something had a a better one

posted 4 months ago

The only two times prx finish outside top 6 was with an igl

posted 4 months ago

Hear me out, what if yay comesback to disguised and win ascension

posted 4 months ago

That's the point, we will actually see if they are

posted 4 months ago

I would invite the teams that makes it to champs, some of the best GC players and some legends of the scene that didn't make it(yay, demon1, FNS to a lesser extend players like Scream and Laz too).

The players then create teams with a simple rule. Max 3 players from the same team.

The possibilities are endless.

Ever want to see FNS and s0m leads the PRX duo+ david?

Yay actually learning Chinese and playing with FPX?

Flor actually replacing Icy in the G2 core+ Sayaplayer?

Alfajer and Less each holding a site as killjoy and Viper?

Imagine the possibilities, the hype, it will be unique and amazing.

posted 4 months ago

Sayf is not even EU. if we count derke as half Russian then Sayr is iraqi as he was born in Iraq (Mena region).

So only 1/12 of the top player is EU

posted 4 months ago

Tbh i wouldn't be surprised if riot do rig the tournaments considering they play on a separate tournament client. The fact there's no spray pattern means you can rig those sprays. Its funny how the most commercially advantageous storyline always ends up as the actual tournament result.

Jk, you are just coping that your fav team lost. Y0y probably paid them 10k to lose.

posted 4 months ago

With lightningfast being the worst player in pacific this split, i think its safe to say Blazeking is the best player in the team tbh

I will still rate lightningfast second despite the stats though

posted 4 months ago

GE is the only team with no player with 1.00 or higher rating, the highest being 0.99(benkai) followed by Blazeking with 0.97. The lowest rated player this split is also from this team at 0.80(LightningFast).

With this they barely edge out Zeta as the worst rated team of split 2, with an average rating of 0.916 to Zeta's 0.918

Meanwhile PRX,Geng and surprisingly RRQ have 0 players below 1 rating. The highest rated team split 2 is PRX with 1.142 rating.

The highest rated duelist this split is Sayaplayer at 1.18, however his most played agent is chamber. Therefore the highest rated duelist is Jing at 1.13. The highest rated pure duelist is texture at 1.11. The lowest rated duelist is dep at 0.89

RRQ boast the highest rated IGL(prx dont count) with Estrella at 1.02. The lowest rated IGL is crazyguy at 0.84 followed by xccurate with 0.86

posted 4 months ago

No? Both split and lotus(and ascent tbh,it could have been 3-0 EG) could have went both ways. It could have been a 3-1 PRX if they won a few crucial rounds (or get pearl as 3rd map)

Nobody would say Optic Loud champs final was a stomp, how is this any different?

posted 4 months ago

No, last year pacific were much easier. Last year T1 would be around zeta's level if saya perform like this year.

posted 4 months ago

Yes.

I love xccurate and rossy but the team would function better as a full korean team. Im sure both will still find their place in Tier 1

Get Yoman for the igl role and maybe replace saya(king is the better sentinel)/carpe(stax as the perma initiator with saya flex)with king
