All their top players are trash now, with the exception of bonecold, he's as good as he's always been which is just aight.
They were genuinely the most fluke team. Gambit were clearly hella exhausted from their Kru match

Why do you think fnc and prx are so good? Are they trying to play better than their opponents or are they aiming for the best plays possible? The most impact the most unpredictability.
This is the reason valorant takes so long to evolve as a game. Just compare it to CS and you see how everything has become systematic, everyone knows what to do and when to do it and the basics aren't looked at anymore cause they've fine tuned it.
Well never get that in valorant but we should still aim to get as close to perfection as possible or else were only ever gonna see FNC winning tournaments from now on

I'm willing to let teams like 100t and Sen play imperfectly cause they don't have as much match time and they don't have sky high expectations to meet so their game in the lcq was pretty decent for what it was meant to be. Drx and loud some of the most consistently good teams of all of valorant yet they're playing at potentially a level that's equal to their 2021 champs (for drx) and copenhagen (for loud) selves

Nrg just don't look to have very high peaks meanwhile TL were struggling to manage round to round and kinda threw ascent yet they were still close to beating NRG.
Nrg is consistent but as angel said it isn't consistency that gets you the win, it's being able to show up here and today and be able to get to the highest peak you've ever reached before.

We've never had a tourney where more than 3 teams were actual contestants for the win and it's a shame it's p much the same in this champs. It feels like valorant takes 1 step forward and 1 step back every year and I wish we could finally get consistently good teams from across the globe

No it quite literally is only on dephh and sykko.
There are much smaller issues that lead to small mistakes in the team like poor trading and spacing, miscomms, and inconsistency but those are small things that wouldn't matter if they got the big things right like calls execs comps and comfortability.

Literally all you have to hear. Sen were 1 kill away from 2-0ing loud and qualifying to the playoffs. If dephh went 5-17 instead of going 4-19 the entire tragectory of the team would've been completely different. It's literally only on dephh and sykko for the failures of the previous iteration.

Why was it doomed from the start? Literally everything started falling apart cause of dephh. It's not all his fault but that's why I also blame sykko. When they picked him up I didn't think nepotism and bias would be an issue the team would face and clearly I was wrong

Well simply because shahz isn't franchising worthy it's that simple. Doesn't mean he isn't great as an individual or as an anti strat asset to the team but his IGLing style is out of meta and just doesn't work nowadays unless you have a roster like FNC

Can we just review how fucked Sen was by dephh and sykko over the course of 2023.
This guy single handedly played with a team of 3 champions (before marved) and managed to botch probably the easiest success story we would've seen in Val.

Dephh didn't want to play sentinel while IGLing and so Sykko treated him like a little prince who would get his way everytime by allowing him to move to initiator and you can see how that completely fucked the entire team comp.
And people still manage to say sentinels had an entire year to make the team work, yea that's bullshit. This is exactly why they dropped sykko and I love the guy but he needs to completely remove personal bias (clearly still hasn't considering dephh is on M80 now).
Thanks for the year dephh and sykko, y'all are the only ones who could pick up sacy pancada and zekken yet still make it flop.

its not about pulling out, ppl just dont realize that yea currently it isnt safe and its point as of current isnt to create such a friendly environment and road to tier 1 but instead to be a grueling long fight towards proving that you can hang with the best.
Riot are always fixing everything in their game and tier 2 is an obvious priority after setting up and settling on how they wanted tier 1 to be.
