i think every team here can win, but there are certainly tiers of probability
non-chinese EDG teams are logically only speed bumps at internationals until proven otherwise (perhaps they can do this at bangkok, idk!)
DRX maybe. with pacific changing so much it's possible that they're just the best of a dogshit region.
maybe agree with SEN being contenders but they'd be the worst of that tier.

Favorites (Teams that are expected by their fans to win. This tier is impossible to order):
G2: They’ve beaten pretty good teams and they’ve done so dominantly. Nothing else really to say, just good Valorant.
VIT: Derke, Less, Sayf, and Trexx are all S-tier players and Kicks has been stepping it up.
EDG: Impossible to know if they’ve gotten better or worse relatively because China doesn’t offer good competition, but they won Champions 2024 so anything less wouldn’t be justified.
DRX: Because of the massive roster shifts in Pacific and PRX being dogshit it’s hard to scale either rep from this region. Assuming the same average skill in Pacific though, they are favorites unless proven otherwise.
Contenders (Teams nobody would be extremely surprised if won):
TH: Rolled by VIT, but two-time runner ups in 2024 so anything less wouldn’t be justified.
T1/GENG: Excellent rosters on paper but have exploitable weaknesses right now—both teams feel like they are heavily relying on player quality, and that’s a must fix for Bangkok.
Underdogs (Teams that nobody is expecting to win other than diehard fans):
SEN/MIBR: Worse than G2 by a long shot. Have looked really shaky against really mid teams (in the case of MIBR, even lost to 100T though they’ve shown improvement).
TRACE: Non-EDG Chinese team.

before the inception of franchising it is too difficult to tell which regions are better because we only saw a few good teams from each region and neither SEA nor KR had placements particularly outshining the other
but in 2023 the top 4 teams during pacific league were PRX, DRX, T1, and GENG. that's KR being better as a region. in 2024 again all 3 KR teams made internationals and only 2 SEA teams out of like 6 i think. and now while 2025 jus started KR is just better again.
even so i only argued that KR was the best region rn and said i liked it (cus im lit korean) so idk why ur on my dick
