A lot of this mainly highlights a difference in perspective due to a difference in lived experience. What a pro player should care about is not equal to what a viewer should care about. You are on the right track by focusing on your own journey and what your identity as a player is, none of which is defined by viewers, only you.

Viewers care about regional differences because they are juicy storylines. Viewers care about player history because of juicy storylines. Viewers like speculation, because it deepens their engagement in those storylines. Viewers exist to be entertained, pro players exist to entertain by being the best competitors they can be while hopefully make a living doing so. Viewers are observers, competitors are agents.

Try doing it on a phone, or restricting your viewport to be small on your browser, it changes to a responsive design. It sends a get request, which determines which type of styling the web server will deliver to you.

The CSS files delivered to you if you have mobile enabled:
https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Roboto:400,400italic,300,700,500
https://www.vlr.gg/css/base/main.css?v=95
https://www.vlr.gg/css/base/r.css?v=21
https://www.vlr.gg/css/base/pages/home.css?v=22
https://www.vlr.gg/css/base/pages/r/home.css?v=4

The CSS files delivered to you if you have desktop enabled:
https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Roboto:400,400italic,300,700,500
https://www.vlr.gg/css/base/main.css?v=95
https://www.vlr.gg/css/base/pages/home.css?v=22

So just two extra CSS files it seems.

I did not expect this Icebox to be so one-sided. Wow. Grats to Acend for the Berlin qual!

how is a noname the best valorant player in EU? how come this guy never played in a tier 1 game in a team before? meanwhile csgo legends suck at csgo while the best valorant player sucked at csgo so hard he played a cringe custom cs ripoff game called "ZULA". how tf is a noname so good in this game and cs legends who should be dominating since they have 10 years of experience with this mechanics already suck so hard? im calling it, cned is a cheater and also his teammates are nonames and have no real background and know every shit. yea makes sense! just google for smartphone hacks. i predict this guy has some hacks and hes hiding it by not using a cam!

Well, a full double elim bracket would be 31 games, bringing the average games per day to 2.8~. What you are suggesting incl seeding would bring the average games per day to 4.2~.

The average games per day in Iceland was 2.6~ for reference. So seems like they should make it a dual stream event if your choice of design is to be followed.

Honestly I'm fine with any style, there are pros and cons to each method. A swiss system into a full double elim would be my ideal, but that's a lot of games as well, so you have to take into account what the limitations of the event are.

Makes sense on the surface, but some groups are going to be stronger than others without seeding into it first. Isn't that a bit of a problem when it comes to integrity? Unless you meant, that this is supposed to include seeding too, which would be a bit stuffed in terms of the schedule.

How do you determine how to distribute the points with the GSL system? Since groups are separated and you're eliminating half of the teams, how do you distribute points to the bottom 8?

Predetermined point distribution can be seen here: https://liquipedia.net/valorant/VALORANT_Champions_Tour/2021/Stage_3/Masters

I mean if you think about it, Giants should based on seeding be an easy team for someone who got to that point.

There is negativity and then there is toxicity and hatred. Negativity isn't strictly bad. The phenomenon behind why you tend to observe more negativity, than positivity has a name: negativity bias.
