h1ber on finest roster... but molsi on fnatic roster???

edit: https://twitter.com/CoJoPM/status/1430121399092498449 makes sense

On the one hand cNed uses a lot of jump peeks and swings to kill people, which probably won't happen on LAN, but on the other hand he's a god tier angle-holder and low ping would take him further beyond imo. So it will be interesting to see whether he's actually going to benefit from that change.

It feels like every region is sending their best right now and every region leveled up in one way or another.. It's like an arms race in a very meta way with the moves Envy has made for example. EMEA forming superteams, JP injecting some steroids into CR, KR injecting steroids into VS..

Everything is pointing to the fact that this tournament will be insane and nothing can be taken for granted, even in groups.

I don't think he used it to infer, that gambit will destroy sentinels, just that they have the capacity to do so. In NRG's case we know they can't from officials. There is a difference between an unknown and a known. He is speculating. Scrims can be used as pieces of information to speculate, but they don't override official results.

Yes, scrim results alone are very poor predictors. You have no idea what the intentions behind the teams scrimming are, whether some are testing their limits, learnring new strats, trying to get their protocols down etc.. But still they do communicate something. Especially when multiple teams say, that X team is really good and now they show it in officials too, the potential is there for sure in my opinion.

support sentinels, they never lose

well clearly gambit are not only good in scrims anymore, so this doesn't make any sense

that was the cleanest shit i have seen... his brain just activated and everything clicked there

Ok yeah those are some pretty extreme examples of boosting.

it's not that important anymore, since two teams are getting out of groups.. legit if one of these teams can't get out of a 2/4 double elim group, they probably wouldn't win the tourney anyway

and acend's coach said they are relaxed now, no pressure.. that doesn't mean they won't try, they will, but they won't use all their creative execs that's for sure

posted about 3 years ago

What? I've been using that to my advantage since I began playing Sova. Would be very surprised to see it as a "bug".

posted about 3 years ago

yeah they're going to expose all their creative executes in a seeding game

I made this replit. You can query it with any pick'em bracket and the amount of points you've got, it'll chart the distribution and tell you what your cumulative percentage is.

If you want to actually view the chart, you just need to create a free repl.it account with a throwaway mail or something. Otherwise it'll just tell you what your cumulative % is. Also it's probably scuffed as hell on the repl.it website cuz of how small it is.

krü please deny astralis... we cant let them get to lan

I see, so you're looking at cumulative percentage, rather than distribution. So the percentage of users with and above your points. That should be trivial to implement, don't know how that would be graphed though, that's what's confusing me.

Like do they mean over time what your cumulative percentage is compared to others graphed, with each match of the pick'em?

posted about 3 years ago

What do you mean by this precisely. You see the percentages and the point distribution on the right.

There's still lower final + grand final. Good to see, that there's 3 nutcase teams coming out of this region though and SMB didn't fluke...

Ofc anything can change in LAN.

yes... yes it was

posted about 3 years ago

They recently don't run Jett on Split. Don't know if that's changed.

posted about 3 years ago

split is the massive hole in their map-pool right now, so could be a comeback from smb

Seeding is very important for Berlin tho.. Only one team makes out from 4-man groups.

go on google translate and listen to english text to speech

posted about 3 years ago

People argue, that instead of group finals, there should be an 8 team single elim bracket with two teams qualifying from all groups. This means there is more possibility with interplay between groups, so more exposure.

The counterargument is, that the scheduling would not allow it reasonably.

too much generalization and confirmation bias.. if u make observations like these, u should quantify them to remain objective

Whether I like it or not depends on how it is seeded tbh.

https://i.imgur.com/XDQoVnf.png yea mb I misread the timing, it was 3 games per day max.. But what tells you the same max applies for Berlin?
