Poach was announced as part of the new Faze lineup alongside former Rise Rise Inactive members Kevin "POISED" Ngo and Phat "supamen" Le on April 27. After acquiring the Rise slot, FaZe competed in the Stage 2 open qualifiers, where they were slotted directly into the Round of 32. They blitzed through the upper bracket, dropping only three maps, and qualified for the group stage. After being slotted into Group B, their first matchup was against OpTic Gaming. However, FaZe began their group stage with a loss, as they were defeated in a 2-0 fashion to the reigning Masters 1 champions.
