OG have 2 Teams?!

Just a question...

How do OG have 2 teams (one in the VCT Stage 2 as "OG LDN UTD" and one in the VRL France as "OG")

Does the "OG" roster function like an academy roster, and VRLs are considered independent of the VCT circuit? Cause VRLs are used to promote into VCT, Riot ruled that an orgs cannot have 2 teams in the same VCT circuit. Just a thought!

i think they are considered two seperate teams/orgs because its a partnership type thing? Meaning OG LDN UTD functions as its own thing with no relationship to OG

i mean the team kinda does have OG in the name i dont think they have no relationship if the partnership gives them naming rights

Its like different team

same reason why there are TSM and TSM Academy on 1 tournament
There NO rules that say ORG must be only have 1 Team

It is allowed for a VCT team to have an academy team in a VRL, you just can't have 2 teams in the exact same league (e.g. 2 teams in VCT or 2 teams in VRLs)

Yes, I know, but they wouldnt need to if they dont qual anyway.
Orgs can have teams in both the VRL and VCT, its weird but ig thats the rules

you can't advance to vct in vrl this stage, only vrl finals

VRLs arent part of the main vct circuit i suppose, it would only matter if the french OG team got promoted to the VCT since it would mess with competitive integrity - or not, if they just play under LDN UTD

VCT 2023 will be franchise-like league, so it wont be any promotion to from VRL to VCT.
LDN UTD wanted to stay in league, OG want to have a proper team for their status (they cant build a team lol), so they are going into the partnership.
We have two cases that there are Finest and NOM in VRL, but they have academies in VRC.
