If ZETA win vs prx:
Jp = Kr (ZETA vs DRX 1-1) > SEA (DRX vs PRX 1-0, zeta vs prx 1-0)
If PRX win vs ZETA:
Jp=Kr=SEA. At this point, if prx beat zeta, yall are equally goated.
Not to break anyone's expectations, but if i'm not mistaken, the only time japan actually won ONE match in an international event was on Masters Berlin 2021 against Liberty, which was a pretty weak team to begin with. Sure, they've been playing reeeeeally good on this tournament, but i think you all should wait a bit to see if they'll keep some consistency before taking JP as the best asian region. Maybe taking ZETA as the best asian team instead?
KR no.1 and JP no.1 might be better than APAC no.1 at the moment but both regions only have 1 competitive team at this level. All the other teams would get rekt in APAC challengers.
That being said, there were a lot of biases in this tournament. PRX, DRX and Zeta are regular scrim partners. That means both DRX and Zeta have an advantage over PRX who play less on well-executed stats and more on chaos.
Both knew exactly how to counter their aggression which honestly teams from NA/BR/EMEA cannot do because this is an extremely fresh playstyle for them.
Overall SEA as a region is still better as even SEA seed 2 and even seed 3-6 (very close competition) have good chances of winning at least one game in this tourney. Cannot say the same for other regions.
Mhm. Korea and Japan while having alot of really good talents, just can't compare to APAC when it comes to talent depth / pool, really just due to population. If APAC can get the funding it need, such as bleed esport ( if they invest in local grown talent but sadly not ) it might grow into a true powerhouse region like Europe in csgo, Korea in LOL, or the abyss-like talent pool of SEA in Dota.
Also another thing going for APAC valorant is the sheer amount of players the region has for a game. On PC, valorant is probably the most played game in the entirety of APAC ( not including china for now ) so theres even more talent to be pull out. A simple example a a radiant top 10 that was not signed simply because he was too young ( juicyy), yes too young to play despite being top 10
