Why is guard still the No.1 NA team on vlr ranking

Optic has beaten a lot of internaional competiton in rejkyavik and a loss to team like xerxia is like overcompensated in vlr rankings even though xerxia almost beat team liquid too...Even after their win against guard twice(once in NA Challengers and one in rejkyavik) they are still not the no.1 team in NA , its almost like the system overrates heavily when the wins might even be really close and marginal and underrates teams heavily when the losses are close and marginal ... the vlr team should look into this

because Guard are a new team so the elo is a little inflated. Plus they won VCT Stage 1

Last u checked this was the case so may be wrong. Basically there aren't enough international competitions for global rankings so we have regional rankings but as a result international competition doesn't effect the regional rankings as they are sr based and it would inflate or deflate some teams ranking. Nvm think they changed that for this tournament

because they had to go through the open qualifiers + they had played in several t2 tournaments before that run + they had a better group stage + they won stage 1 in NA and made it as top seed
