When Optic gets an early pick or something they'll literally shout "Nice!"
When Xerxia are doing well, they just dully relay the information to viewers, but when Optic do well they're hyped up and their whole demeanor and tone is different.
Of course, if you go watch any other regional stream they're all bias to some degree as well. But this is the official Valorant channel, speaking the most internationally accepted language, with castors brought from different regions to cast on this stream, with the 'analysis desk', etc. so they're, at least in my opinion, supposed to be the most neutral and unbiased casting for viewers who may be watching from all corners of the globe.
edit: yeesh why did this get 40+ upvotes?
youre right, casters dont respect other regions, is just NA and EMEA. Its so annoying to see that, and is in every stream. They are not professionals. If u could see brazilians casters, they always treat all regions equally, and thats so nice... They respect everyone. And ppl need to stop saying that 'NA is better" bcause since last year they lost to asian regions... That makes me so pist man... the disrespect. Youre so right.
I mean, all the language streams have their castors and analyzers of the gameplay, but this is the official Valorant stream, speaking the most internationally accepted language, with castors brought from different regions to cast on this stream, with the 'analysis desk' at the actual event, etc. They should be the least bias and neutral option for casual viewers to enjoy.
I don't get this take. TBH 99% of broadcast talent in Iceland is from EMEA or NA and both always make little comments or remarks about how they want their favorite team or region to win. It's kind of inevitable but if you rly don't like it just watch co streams tbh their better even if you don't mind the commentators bc it just adds to the experience imo
Casters and analysts do say things like that for laughs and giggles, expressing their desire for their region's team to win before the match and during breaks and stuff like that. But not when the game is actually going on. These casters were literally shouting words of encouragement to Optic after they would get a pick, being hype and loud when they were doing well, and dull and quite and almost emotionless when Xerxia were pulling ahead.
If you go watch any other regional stream they're all bias to some degree as. Wrong. They're not casters for "a" region. There are casters brought over from different continents. Since you obviously didn't read what I wrote earlier I'll say it here.
