How do you feel about this new JP superteam?
I feel like they will qualify through JP for free every time, but might face the same issues CR did last year.
said it multiple times already
if you judge zeta based off how JP has done at previous events you're trolling, this team is waaaay stronger than their previous roster. like uncomparably stronger
dropped 2 useless + 1 decent player for 3 top players
player to watch for is sugarz3ro, guy is fuckin insane
From an avid JP HOPIUM user:
ZETA Division is MILES ahead of other competition in Japan. Yes they had a close series last night, but that's because CR actually capitalized on their mistakes. But in the end, ZETA still won because their players are just so damn good. They dropped their "deadweight" and picked up the upper echelon of the JP hierarchy: players that performed very well for their respective teams.
Like SETSUZA said, SugarZ3ro is the player to watch. This guy frags hard, and is a sick controller. My one issue is that his agent pool: he only plays Astra and Viper. He barely plays Brim and Omen. I feel like that's a potential weakness that other teams can exploit.
However, my player to watch is Laz. He is quite possibly THE best player in JP right now. He looks like he has gotten better since last year and he still put up insane numbers in JP and at Masters 3: Berlin. He has such an expansive agent pool, and I think his veterancy and experience will guide the rookies through their first LAN.
Do I think ZETA Division is going to light the world on fire? Realistically, maybe. They have great players, and if everything goes right for them and is prepared top to bottom, then ZETA can do damage and can put up a fight. This JP superteam is truly something special and can represent Japan well on the global stage.
Laz has been the best JP player since CS and I loved seeing him on chamber so much since he kinda got back to his AWP roots that way and crow imo proved that he deserved to stay in the JP superteam. I think if SugarZ3ro have problems with Omen and Brim, but can play some sentinels, we really can have that roleswap for specific maps and get Laz on one of those. I won't be surprised if these guys finished above PRX tbh since Dep and TENNNN feels like a more integrated JIngg and f0rsaken with great players on other roles too
zeta got rid of all mediocre players and replaced them with easily top 3 players in japan for their roles. To put it simply its like loud with sacy and saadhak and getting all these great players in the form of less, pancada, and aspas. I dont think they are as strong as loud but this is right now a japanese super team.
APAC teams looked bad really bad, good firepower but terrible discipline and decision making, also nothing new or creative in terms of utility, watching Bleed felt bad, pyth and maxie always playing pretty disciplined but the other 3 were making a lot of stupid mistakes but at least they were good individually
Their performance will heavily depend on their group IMO.
The team genuinely looks organized for once, probably due to the single language comm structure. Laz, Tenn, and Sugarzero are mechanically talented.
I do still think their fundamentals aren't up to scratch, even when compared to some SEA teams. However, they're still a relatively new team. Based on their post grand final interview, it's clear they haven't had the time necessary to practice. They could improve greatly in the time between now and their first Masters game.
