that's apac playoffs event , i saw somewhere here that top seeds from each region would play in group stage and last seed will have to play "playins"
no clear source but it would make sense if #1 seed goes to groups idk much just a speculation
Why we don't deserve to be seeded in groups both teams should be in play-in imo
Why is this fair ? SA teams are not better than t2 SEA it's better for them to go in play-in and give that slot to a deserving SEA team

No. Imagine there is one team going champion and their strats, gameplays, communication, etc. were all exposed so any teams can do their homework to play against TS. for example, Bren won TS once but lost to OAS becase they dont have much infomation about OAS
Also APH lost to Full sense 0-2 no close
has played 3 VCT matches till date
won against 1 korean team and almost won against 2nd korean team too ( A region which even had first strike all the way back in Dec2020)
lost to prx badly but then again prx is the most OP team in 2nd most strongest region so all good
playins includes :
3rd seed for Thailand, Philippines, MYSG, indo, Viet and 2nd seed for Vietnam, South Asia, HKTW,
groups includes :
1st and 2nd seed Thailand, Philippines, MYSG, indo, Vietnam, 1st seed HKTW and 1st seed south Asia

This is my opinion of the APAC Playoffs. I also think that the 2 top teams in the play-in will later qualify for group.
Pretty sure it's gonna be last seed from every region in Playins, and rest of the teams and Oce's only team (THE GOD TEAM) go to Group Stage.
Don't have any source just the most sensible option imo.

I guess play in is something like a Wildcard qualifier where the teams who couldn't qualify for main event by just one position from various regions will fight for a spot in the playoffs
