Tier 1 teams in T2 tournys?

Why don't tier 1 teams play in these lower tier tournys to if not sandbag test out new comps and etc? Renegades and Soniqs just stomp everyone anyway why not just hop in there and test out their comps against decent competition? I know that they can easily wait for the next masters or whatever but it just looks nice for an org to be as dominant as Rise/Soniqs/Renegades in T2

im pretty sure i heard somewhere that some pro said that if they play in vct they cant play in other tournaments cant confirm tho

Yeah if your team reached top 8 on challengers you can't join nsg monthly tourneys

do you think TSM is interested in winning a tournament of 2500$ or 5000$ players from TSM get 10k$+ or 15k$+ per month and whoever plays in vct cannot play in other tournaments i think

well tbh tsm out of all the teams would benefit the most as they can iron out their issues more efficently in less important tournaments but according to other people here they can't play in it if there top 8? interesting

T1 teams don't want to stomp for cheap money
Maybe they scrim with all teams anyways so no point in losing fanbase

scrims, that’s exactly the point i was about to make. why compete in official tournaments? you give away strats if the games are broadcast, and you squash every other team’s hopes of winning, thus killing tier 2 competition.
