Agent bans are the dumbest thing ever

the main reason people support it is because 'its a breath of fresh air' and encourages creativity. no lmao. jett will always be a permaban, astra will always be a permaban, etc. if nobody can play those agents, a new meta will form without them and every team will begin to pick this new meta every time. it will be no different.

are you dumb? they wont get buffed, jett will get nerfed so that shes no longer bannable LMAO. and even then a new ideal team comp will be formed which every team will use.

I think it would add a lot of depth and new strategy, might even lead to having multiple metas at the same time. Also feel like good prep would get way more creative and impactful

if u dont ban jett or astra then nothing changes lol. if u ban one flex agent, then there are plentiful other flex agents to take their place. e.g ban sova, u can always pick skye etc. and if u insert these agents over another then nothing really changes, the teamcomps identity doesnt change much.

That’s literally the point… you want Hiko off of sova into skye?

Or like, ban viper/skye, core agents in the meta but not as op as jett and astra.

Or if a team likes to run brimstone and they banned astra, ban brim to make them run omen/viper instead.

It just gets players off of their comfort picks and makes people have to be comfortable on more agents which is good.

i mean viper is more core than astra on some maps so she wouldnt get banned on those maps using ur scenario. and i dont understand ur 'gets players off of their comfort picks' point because its the same thing if u ban jett and astra- it gets people off comfort picks. if anything banning the most important agents of a team would be more uncomfortable.

also ur acting as if pro teams only have 1 team comp for each map and pros can only play certian agents. between masters and champions we already saw a variety of teamcomps played by the same team. if they had a limited pool then antistratting would be too easy. if hiko cant play sova, whos to say he cant play kayo, skye. nivera literally learned the whole game in a month, valorant isnt rocket science lol. mako went from jett main to argueably the best astra, a whole different role in a month as well lol.

The newest tournament for NA had agent bans.

I believe It worked like this

Both teams picked an agent that Can’t be banned. Then they picked an agent to ban.

Most of the time Jett was safe, but it affected picks like Viper the most.

In my opinion, the less viper the better, so it was a win.

In the knights tournament both teams would pick two agents each to "protect" and then after 1 agent each to ban

I agree, also ryan central had an idea he talked about on plat chat that sounds a lot better than agent bans, where you can basically see what the other team plays in agent select and that will promote roll changes on the spot from other teams, rather than forcing people to adapt.

I do think that if competitive games have bans, then ranked should too

I dislike when the pro and casual level of games have major differences outside of skill
