Imperial has maintained a team since mid November 2020, constantly being a top threat in Brazilian tournaments, as showed by their top-eight placement in First Strike and triple second place finishes at Esportsmaker Spike Series, Copa brMalls and Ultimaster AOC.

The team kept good form going into the VCT, placing top four in the first Challengers and even winning the third iteration. In Masters, however, they exited in the first round of games. Their performance dipped in the second part of the Tour, failing to reach any main events and being knocked out early of the All Stars Cup - Season 1 and the fourth Chroma Cup.

In the TwitLonger, João "Biscoit1n" Victor Vieira showed his gratefulness for the paths the team took and their constant underdog designation. He also revealed the decision to disband was mutual between the players themselves and the organizations, believing it was best for all and showing himself open to offers.

CSGO is (and always will be) the focus of BR esports. Valorant is an afterthought. Good palyer will want to go to CSGO and not Valorant in BR

that point is irrelevant on what I am saying. The best BR CSGO 'talent' will always go to CSGO (as is BR 'main game'), so their Valorant scene will never get the best of the best, only ones that can't make it to top of CSGO scene

and unless riot artificially pump up the money for Valorant salary, CSGO will always pay more in BR. There is just more brand recognition.

this argument is so dumb it's unbelievable. CS /=/ valorant. BR scene developed more than korea yet no one is talkin about koreans moving to mobas cuz that is their main game.

That's not true, i watch Valorant and CSGO (more often CSGO, because there are so much teams in a international competitive level, and its the game i like most), and i see we have a lot of players that play in the highest level here, they don't play CSGO or any other FPS because they want to play VAL.

CSGO is not the FOCUS on esports BR, but still the major on FPS.

This is stupid on so many levels, BR isn't like EU or NA where most people focus on the same the game (CS GO and Overwatch for the last few years) - there is a lot of talent spread across a bunch of different FPS games, games that you probably never paid attention to.
And even tho Imperial was a good team their disbanding clearly isn't the downfall of BR Valorant - The only thing you can take out of this is that their talent wasn't being used to it's fullest capacity so they decided to disband so that talent would work better elsewhere.

totally wrong, brazil is the best in r6 siege for example. in the six invitational had 19 teams, 6 them were brazilians. and the grand finals were brazil vs brazil.

Brazil isn't good at csgo only, we are good in fps games overall

This riot system is hurting tier 2 teams in brazil, these VCTs took up almost half of the entire year and basically if you are not among the best you cannot maintain yourself. Last year with the ignition series and the FS were better, if it becomes like LoL with an elitist closed system it will be garbage

I am not talking about a competitive level, I am talking about money, 3 great orgs disbanded this month, since they dont see the team fast improving and at the same time dont earning money, only a elitist group will manage to survive. And im not talking about FS format, im talking that they managed to fit their tournament and let other tournaments happen

People started noticing that the only good teams were the top 4 and the rest must disband, the best players of each of those teams who became free agents are gonna form a team to start competing with the top 4 and then they will be sponsored by an org again. Simple as that.

And vk? They should shuffle with GL or Hava Liberty, would make both teams better. Trade Nyang and Jhow for v1xen and Dragonite, or maybe some of those players will go to HL, staying only with Heat and Shion.
