XERXIA sign former X10 lineup

XERXIA Esports XERXIA Esports Asia-Pacific Rank #25 have entered the Thai Valorant ecosystem by acquiring the former X10 Esports X10 Esports Inactive Vera Rodman Yap Tempz Pierre Heng RedKoh Danial Hakim wayne Wayne Chang Egoist Javier Chua roster, who were released earlier this month.

X10's release was unexpected as the team had achieved their best-ever finish at an international event in Champions, finishing 5th-8th. The roster defeated Keyd Stars Keyd Stars Inactive and Envy Envy Inactive Marved Jimmy Nguyen Victor Victor Wong crashies Austin Roberts FiNESSE Pujan Mehta yay Jaccob Whiteaker to qualify for playoffs, in which they took eventual finalist Gambit Esports Gambit Esports Inactive Redgar Igor Vlasov Chronicle Timofey Khromov d3ffo Nikita Sudakov sheydos Bogdan Naumov nAts Ayaz Akhmetshin to three maps before eventually losing to the CIS team.

While most of the roster returns alongside coach Yuttanagorn "Zeus" Kaewkongyai, the team had to find a replacement for Patiphan "Patiphan" Chaiwong, who returned to Overwatch with the Los Angeles Gladiators just after Champions. XERXIA found his replacement in Thanachart "Surf" Rungapajaratkul, an up-and-coming player who dominated Thailand's ranked leaderboard. This will mark Surf's first appearance in high-level competition.

You have to be 18 years old to compete in OWL. Patiphan was 17 when the season began so he wasn't allowed to compete in the OWL. Hence the temporary move to compete in Valorant for X10. He turned 18 in September 2021 which made him eligible for the 2022 OWL season
