Their players don't come from Counter-Strike, Overwatch or Apex Legends. NiP brought their Paladins roster to VALORANT.

While Paladins teams are made up of five player rosters like VALORANT rosters are, Ninjas in Pyjamas currently have four players on their roster. Their fifth player, Bird , has transitioned from being the team's captain and support player in Paladins to their coach in VALORANT.

The other four players — Alex , bonkar , DiGeDoG and Tenner — have joined the playing roster for NiP's team.

These players have spent more than a year as teammates and some of them have played together since 2017. The team won Paladins' 2019 World Championship this past November, crowning them as the best Paladins team in the world.

The team has yet to compete with their full roster. DiGeDoG has not participated with the team in any major tournaments yet. He is currently back at home in Australia as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and has been playing with over 200 ping.

As a result, the team has used stand-ins for both him and their fifth and final spot. Three different players have stood-in for NiP so far: rhyme, Zyppan and SemberN.

The NiP roster has found early success. In two late-April tournaments the team finished first in one and were the runner-ups in the other.
