We need to start getting rid of "filler" team riot

I'm actually annoyed how bad so many of the teams are. I still think we need to have a "survival" event and have the bottom 4 or 6 (depending on how much content riot needs) do a round robin tournament where bottom 2 get booted BUT get to go to ascension playoffs or something. That way league doesn't get too crowded and we can limit at 12 teams, while not having to watch this garbage. We can actually watch challenging group stage matches and slept on challengers teams have better chances.

2g is not even playing with their complete roaster they are saying spike is their star so we can wait and see ,furia on the other hand had a tough group they were up against G2,lev , mibr and nrg (they are bad but still its nrg) if u see furia has good shooters they need better strats

I get the frustration, but having less T1 teams would rlly stunt the game no? More people get stuck in T2, less opportunities and money for them, and less room for growth and new talent. I mean this happens with every major sport, there are always teams that are better and teams that are worse, the issue comes if those bad teams can't get better over time (looking at you Furia)

While this is true, how many orgs are even trying to improve at this point. You cannot convince me that Global or Furia even put in any effort into getting better

Yeah it's difficult because some teams have more money and better conditions than others and will always get the better players. Plus, esports margins are ridiculous, so you have to find a way to incentivize teams to invest in getting better. Tough problem to solve but its just where we are rn

Orgs are just bad at choosing talent. Look at xenom and cortezia. They r insane from tier 2.

Mmm it'd make it so only teams who have done terrible for 2+ years have to do that. Job security and investment security is important for orgs. So teams like FURIA and KOI should be in the danger zone imo

It's not as simple as keeping the best teams. Plenty of teams are trying to win and put in the proper investment for a good attempt, yet fail due to other circumstances, be it bad player performance or coaching failures.

maybe franchising is dogshit and open quals and regional stuff was better for the pro environment specially for regions that don't have riot's daddy money like br and latam

nowadays org just settle down for the paycheck that comes regardless of going winlesss, while the incentive earlier on was reaching internationals
