He could surely be one of the best ever right?

I saw rumours that NRG were gonna pick him up as a replacement for crashies. If they do that surely they’ll bounce back for split 2 no? This guy could carry the whole team on his back surely

it was either get rid of fns s0m and ethan or verno and bonkar

when nrg would still inevitably be shit people would flame them for dropping fns and s0m in their last year

there's always next year

bro they didnt have to get rid of either
they played well in off season
imo bonkar didnt like fns because fns was against tejo
and fns didnt like verno not comming
easy fix just verno comm and fns get tejo going

i mean i'm sure they didn't want to make changes...

yeah your fix makes complete sense, but if players want each other gone, the team is doomed from a chemistry standpoint anyways

in the end it worked out for verno, which is for the best considering he still has a future

nah with how much fns, ethan, and s0m glazed verno in the off season and even before the off season, they def liked him a lot as a player
and the fix was so stupid too, they replaced verno with a guy who plays the same stuff. why replace him then??? just fix chem like go on a vacation or something.

have you seen the recent MIBR comm videos? If he commed like this in NRG then I can't see what problem they had with him.

problem is bro didnt comm on this on NRG from early on up to kickoff
me and uncleben were talking in another post about how he probably felt kinda excluded because the team already had a bunch of vocal guys and he felt reluctant to call on top of them
the team wanted him to comm, he didnt know how to comm without being interruptive, and they couldnt resolve this because they're gamers bro

Losing fns and s0m in a year anyways. And of them, only s0m has been consistently good anyways. Semi decent scouting, and they could have actually been competitive.

easier to replace 1 player than 2/3, I'm not saying they made the right choice, but from a financial (and ease of implementation) perspective it does make at least a semblance of sense

Som is really kinda dumb no offense. This is what m4 means by cronyism, and it’s probably his most accurate take.

I'd agree if they didn't replace their coach. That's 50% the structure to your team, especially when he was working with them the entire off season. At that point start over.

tbh they didnt need to replace anyone. its just too much to catch up to. NRG lost to fuckin rapid lofi in the off season, why are we sweating a close loss to c9 and kru? just a slow start. bro if 4 fuckin maps is ruining a team then its actually just so retarded from management that they couldnt fix it.

Aged even worse when we consider how kru and c9 actually look good rn

fr, close maps against two top 4 teams. we were within 5 rounds of c9 and took a map off of kru, and definitely could have improved just with some discussion and team coordination. instead the team imploded and management was like "fuck y'all"

Yeah based on kickoff and stage 1 from the other teams, I'd have them as like 6th in the region, which isn't where you want to be, but definitely not worth dropping the top NA prospect and your coach for. Now, going into stage 2, if LOUD get a real coach, I think NRG is like 10th.

ong bruh, play so well in off season and then make dumbass decision after 3 games, one of which they won
imo its not even on any of the players, verno, or bonkar, its on the management for not telling them to fucking solve the issues

Dumb fucks that that keeping 35 year old fns who self admittedly is retiring after this year was more valuable then keeping verno
