Also they were never bad. They did take T1 to map 3 in Kickoffs and it could have easily been a 2-0 too

i wouldn't say one month exactly, they lost kickoff to good teams. dos9 was a demon for the entirety of last year and zesbeew (who dos9 replaced) wasn't looking quite as good as the rest of the team mechanically, at least at ascension from my pov (did not watch vcl indonesia so if someone who has wants to jump in feel free). so the replacement was a HUGE upgrade.

They look improved a lot because people underestimated them too much

During kickoff, their performance was still amazing. They just needed that extra push from losing games closely to winning and hence going 4-0 in Stage 1.
I'm quite impressed. Now the question is: Can they perform at an intenational the way they do here (if they qualify, which is looking likely unless choke and incosistent when it matters)

Maybe it’s the pressure and the losses. Yeah sure, there are teams like DFM and GE that lose a lot too, but Boom’s losses hit different. They lost in the Ascension tournament, where tier 2 teams like Boom get a shot to make it into the franchise league. Now there’s pressure, because if Boom doesn’t make it to Champs this year, they’ll drop back to Challengers. Not like DFM or GE, they lose too but they’re still chill for now since their spot is kinda safe, for now.

Dos9 is a beast but so are other BOOM players like Famouz, BerserX, NcSlasher and Shiro.... BOOM is good because its not a one man show, every BOOM player play good and can easily frag.. Famouz with his OP, BerserX with his smart play, NcSlaher with his crazy sheriff kills, and Shiro perfect call and utils.

if only Dos9 who were "good" in BOOM, they wouldn't be this good in stage 1, i mean his former team only beat Rapid lofi in ascension while BOOM tested SPG in one of the best ascension grand final match last year.

cause they always been good. ppl underrating them so much cause they dont know them. all boom players (except dos9) are finalists of apac lcq 2022 (famouz berserx in boom, ncslasher shiro in onic). boom won that final and qualified to champions istanbul. so basically at that time, they were one of the best teams in SEA alongside prx and xerxia. so as indos, i'm not really shocked about their results, but yeah, in this particular stage 1, they are at the best performance than before.

if they will play like this for remaining season they will surely make it to champs. On the other hand GE look absolutely lost even if they have good played individually (except Patrickwho didn't live it to expectation and hype) their team play is lost no proper reads .If GE is going to play like this the gg man (not going to talk about TS they just .... you know and DFM look decent as compared to last year same problem as GE no team play) i this riot should introduce relegation i.e. bottom two teams at the end of the year will get relegated to t2/t3 and top 2 team will be promoted i.e. ascension finalist and ascension winner get promotion for 2 years and runner up for 1 year and same every year. this will not increase number of teams and also maintain competitiveness and fear of performing 12 team will remain which are atleast decent

Coaching staff clearly know what they doing & Players trust and do what the coach suggest them to do. They are playing together many many times unlike when they are in tier 2. They peek when the timing & condition favorable to them. There are still 1/2 times when player ego peek but its very rare unlike before. Booms rn playing very coordinated, comms which is still not very fluent but the idea is delivered clearly.

You can know team mates started to make a move after the other ones taking info and they do it fast, its important. Many improvement on strategy & commitment rather than individual performance, individually theyve been that good since a long time. I still doubt shiro & ncslsher aim a little bit tho, but atleast now they know when and where to advantageously peeking so i feel better

more like, how is 50% of this Pacific team still manage to call themselves Tier 1 after 3 years of straight-up dogshit performances. Legendary cope, Must be some insane delusion😂truly inspiring levels of self-confidence🤣
