OK Kru are losing on purpose to make sure that LOUD is eliminated. Whats so wrong about that ? This is a competition and KRU are eliminating their competitors. It's not like they are losing to make money on betting sites, they are just trying to maximize the probability they go to toronto.

matchfixing because of tournament reasons is also banned in most esports/sports, because it's unsportsmanlike and boring for the viewers. there was one case in rocket league where a team got banned for throwing to avoid facing the best team in the quarterfinals

I think catering to viewers preferences is bad for competitive integrity. Teams should of course care about winning more than if viewers think the match is fun.

No Team Member may offer, agree, or conspire to fix a match or take any other action to intentionally and unfairly alter, or attempt to alter, the results of any game (or any play or component thereof). If a Team Member is asked to "fix" the outcome of a game or to otherwise take part in any actions prohibited by this Global Policy or the applicable Event-Specific Rules, that Team Member must immediately report this request to the Tournament Operator.

Don’t have to take money for it to be against the rules
