Whats wrong with EMEA teams?

Did they lose the acces to all the pro games footage or did they just just learn how to play valorant? Agents are meta on the map for a reason guys, there is a reason why people are playing some agents on maps for 4+ years. Why is BBL running triple initiator on Ascent, FUT triple initiator on Icebox, so many teams running astra on fracture + so much more. Its like they are asking to lose with these comps, you dont need to play the game on hard mode, there is a reason why people pick info sentinel on Icebox and Ascent, so that 3 of your 5 players dont have to watch mid all the time. Its so frustrating to see these comps man

geng had astra on breeze and nerfed viper on haven when no one was playing her. T1 were praised for not picking tejo and they also played sova on lotus

when GenG won their trophy both breeze and Haven were out of the rotation (not like their Haven is anything special anyway), and their best maps were those where they played the meta comps

haven was out but breeze was still in the map pool in which they played astra in the gf againt TH.

but again T1 did play unique comps in bangkok showing that innovating is better than playing the meta seeing as they beat g2

Their Breeze is not that off meta anyway imo, the only special pick is the Astra, and it's not like it doesn't make a lot of sense. But yeah T1 is off meta obviously. The region as a whole however is pretty standard now

yeah, prx threw 2 Bo5 finals because the always went for weird comps on their less played maps. Now T1 used Tejo, Vyse and Yoru and they won

I don’t know man, I wonder the same thing sometimes. BBL picks an outdated comp on haven yet wins because liquids map pool is weak rn and then they run triple initiator in the next map and didn’t win a single atk round

Innovation has been proven to be what actually wins games, especially for teams that aren't necessarily the best of the best players.

That being said, some of these choices for innovation are stupid as hell. Dropping KJ or Viper on Icebox: Obviously trolling. Dropping info Sentinel on the most defense sided map in the game: Obviously Trolling. Dropping Brim on Fracture, and I say this as an Astra main: Obviously fucking trolling.

There have been plenty of good innovations too, but holy shit stop changing the obviously mandatory shit - you're not innovating on those. Actually good Innovations like KC's Omen > Duelist Icebox or Apeks' Deadlock Yoru Ascent, that mix up flex slots and make up for their introduced weaknesses in playstyles, are excellent.
