i mean they atleast can try bcs one thing Apeks was always good in was to find and enable young talents (they found Keiko and Kaajak) so i think w Verno they wouldnt look to terrible

probably right, the fact that Governor has a job at all after how bad he looked in APAC is really telling that Apeks had to get someone as fast and as cheap as poosible

true, most T2 players in real orgs gotta cost money and Governor was bascially free and also had experience to some extent so prob the best they could do w their budget

i think your really selling Governor short here talon clearly played with him launching him into the site to make space. It really hard to be consistent and good when you basically a human drone.

If they scrimmed with him and decided all he was good for was being a human drone that looks even worse for him, if you'd rather your duelist player be a pure space taker rather than a properly setup execute piece then it means that hes lacking in something that would make it worth it for the team to invest into him, these days the only hard space taking duelist player with any amount of success has been MiniBoo and even he gets lots of utility behind his space taking role.
Maybe it just means that Governor wasnt suited to play duelist at all and this new role will realize his potential or maybe Talon coaching staff wasnt very good, but what I saw in Talon games wasnt a great duelist player on an hard role, it was a middling duelist that was being squeezed for value by crws
