Therapy session. Okay. I'm getting really weird feedback with my stuff. There are people in the community who are scared of you and how you feel. I'm not really one of those people. I know the entire community is wrong. I'm just entertaining myself trying to figure out a way to get you to understand. It's absolutely atrocious to watch the genre I love become this generic product where people just randomly say the word "protocol" and think they nailed it.
There are two people out there that are famous, that are highly regarded in the community but I can't get them to help. In fact, one person went the entire other way after you guys came after me.
Considering you don’t play ranked, I’m curious how you learn agents/map theory
Are you vod reviewing pros/pro teams? Are you working with analysts/coaches? Do you have prior experience or a resume as a coach or an analyst? You clearly have very distinct opinions on the game but I’m curious where you get these ideas from.
I've done all those things in the past. I've been a 20 year old trying to figure out strategy. I've been very close to pro a bunch of times and just couldn't get over the hump.
I'm dying a bit inside when I watch the games because its very clear the players need help with fundamental concepts. They all have mouse aim down. They all have the ability to be insane. They're just missing a coach to help them move in the right direction. Some day I'll get a chance. Or I won't. Life's weird.
What games were you nearly pro in? I’m a little bit confused why you are so sure you’d be a great coach if you haven’t actually coached before, or why’d you’d be such a good analyst if you haven’t actually worked for a pro team before. While I think a lot of casual fans think they have a lot deeper understanding of the game than they do, it’s pretty arrogant to believe that current pros and coaching staff are far inferior in their understanding of the game if you have literally never coached even a t3 valorant team.
I'm corporate and coach people all the time.
I also have an insight into what the players are going through. I know the limitations on time. People make fun of me for making huge documents, the reason is for them. Once they fall out of grace, it really sucks for them. They look to these coaches for help, they tell them to swap agents and do default smokes. Or dive in for a sub 50/50 fight. Coaches don't care about their brands. Coaches care that they make it to the next week with a job.
Nearly pro, 1.6 and Overwatch. At the time of 1.6, that was less attractive and meant something different. Choose school over 1.6 and Overwatch had some people half in and half out.
