I want harbor to get buffed, I think he’s the controller with the most skill required, so I don’t think him being strong is that bad
I don’t think harbor viper will be meta either because there isn’t really a skye initiator rn (good recon and flash init)

Underrated but definitely needs commitment and skill. You have to know your positioning to be able to effectively smoke for your team especially on defense.

Why is he more boring than astra omen or brim? They are even less creative and interesting than him
Even harbor viper isn’t really boring other than on pearl, which is a map design issue as opposed to an agent problem

honestly brim is typically used in fast hits so it feels less boring, and astra can suck and stun and recall which is better than harbour literally just having 3 wall smokes and one orb smoke

Suck is mostly used in post plant, the stun has some creative usage but for the most part ur just placing down normal smokes like any other controller

With harbor, you can make creative walls that create new angles, use the cascade to take and hold space while defaulting, use the cove as well for planting/defusing or even as a smoke to cross etc etc
Definitely more creative

Harbor has the ability to re-create the map's angles. There is no other agent that can have the level of impact that he potentially can have. The professional use of Harbor is criminal. As if he replaces Viper... it's disgusting.

my favorite comp of all time is probably the Harbor Viper comp. But its really hard to make it work and lot of teams dont wanna take risks and just follow the new meta putting Tejo, Yoru, Breach, Vyse every map

Harbor Viper relied super heavily on single initiator skye for both info and flashing through smokes. Without her rechargeable flashes she's too weak to support harbor viper. Also anchoring on viper is just harder now with the nerfs and the Tejo meta.

I don’t think the viper nerfs are a big deal, but that Skye nerf is massive
At best, we can see a harbor viper with gekko but he’s just so much weaker than prime skye

The version with the comp with Sova instead of Skye is good too, worse because there are no flashes, but still good. Leviatan 24 ran it last year and they had probably the best Icebox in the world. MIBR is also using it right now, but they only played it one time, I dont know if its going to be a consistently good comp in this meta

That’s because the way icebox (especially a site) is designed, flash initiators aren’t as impactful, there are comps on icebox with no flash init that aren’t viper harbor comps

But on most viper harbor maps u need some flash util, so running a solo recon init isn’t worth it (especially since Tejo is making double init very op right now)
