After watching recent matches I really do believe that TsM would have made it to Iceland had they put in Brax. They are just a better version of V1 with a better jett and better duelists with and strats. Cutler going 2/16 was the main reason why they lost and then having a ACS/ADR of less than 100 on most of his matches while playing controller is rough to carry. With Brax in everyone carries their own weight. Now I know they already played with Brax one challenger qualifications but that was with Hazed out, not cutler. So I feel like them sucking Cutler off hurt them in the long run...

They need to figure out team comp. Brax and Cutler aren’t easily interchangeable.
It’s deeper than individual players, too. TSM constantly chokes and gets clutched against. They brainlessly bum rush the remaining player instead of peeking at the same time. They lose multiple clutches to Hiko every time they play 100T. They almost lost a 5v1 to Poach. They lost a 3v1 against ABX boi, which cost them the map and eventually the series.
it's not just a matter of swapping more mechanically gifted players in and out a lineup to fix it's problems. tsm, at its core, has a problem with it's decision in mid to late rounds. they easily lose advantageous situations, and give up crucial picks. Sure, switching cutler out of the roster would help them gain the advantage in the firepower department, but the core issue would still lie within the team
I feel like what you said also shows that cutler's IGLing isn't even that good. Their calls and midround improvising is lacklaster so I feel like dropping cutler is necessary at this point. If he were fragging OR making really great calls, it would be fine because he could seemingly just work on one of those things. But, he isn't really doing either of those well in my opinion.
EDIT: Obviously, a new coach would be great too, but I was focusing on cutler in particular.
NGL dude their problems probably only get worse by adding brax over cutler unless someone on their team suddenly becomes a really good igl. They can't adapt, they don't play together, none of them are consistent except for wardell. Their peak is high with this team but it just seems like they are putting in no effort to fix it. Deep rooted problems that will only be fixed by removing most of the roster and/or finding someone who actually can fix their roster.
Genuine question: what do people see in cutler? Fragging aside, I feel like cutler doesn't even make great midmatch calls. Right now, TSM relies on Wardell to completely pop off and even that can't carry them. If Wardell misses a single op shot on defense, they're completely lost. I feel like they need a COMPLETE restructuring, ESPECIALLY in their calls and IGLing. I honestly think it would better (and worth the risk) to switch in brax and let someone learn how to IGL, just because there needs to be so many changes. They need to do so much growing already, so they should just play the long game and let one of their players develop some IGLing skills.
With Brax on the team a lot can change. I just want it to happen as quick as possible so that they get the time to practice way before Quals.
Wardell can single handedly win you a round.
Subroza can single handedly win you a round.
Drone can single handedly win you a round.
Hazed can single handedly win you a round.
Cutler can't thats a fact.
FACT: Last time Cutler had 3 kill round it was against luminosity 0-2 loss.
Brax is a player who can single handedly turn the tables. With the strats changing versatility being the key part of the game TSM should make a bold move.
