I haven't seen solo leveling, but I thought demon slayer was corny and the characters seemed generic. Also naruto is good up until pain arc, after that it falls off pretty hard.

How bruh. The pacing becomes awful. They try to fit a 2 day battle into 200 episodes. And the constant power ups was pissing me off. Not to mention all the deus ex machina moments and random ass pulls. And then the ending is so abrupt .

I can see how it could be too much for ppl and stuff like that. I think it stayed true to it's story until the end imo. I cared more for the characters and the story more than fights and powers. So maybe that's why I've got a bit of a different opinion? Maybe im just an airball tho

Nah your take is definitely fair. I also really liked the characters. I guess the difference in opinion between us is mainly story wise, I thought in the war arc there were too many ass pulls. Like random villains being introduced out of nowhere (kaguya), randomly betraying each other (zetsu backstab madara), or just turning to the good side when it just felt so out of place narratively (obito).

I can agree with the Kaguya thingy but it was already kinda written by itself after Naruto and Sasuke got their powers from The Sage of six paths. But yeah. Maybe a little overcooked on that

Yeah i fw madara but obito becoming emo and then getting influenced back to the good side was so cliche. At least madara stood on business which i respect heavily.

Naruto was truly peak. New anime fans won't understand how big it was at its peak. It was bigger than anime itself at least globally. Tbh it's still huge, crazy how it was the most watched anime of 2024 in Netflix. Also as kids me and my friend used to talk about eye powers and different jutsu. It's so nostalgic.

Is it me or you all only watches shonen/action, no problem only watching them but there are more of those with better storytelling and characters.
I guess animation standards are way too high so you guys won't may not like others

More like "casual" anime, usually action comprises 90% of them. While "obscure" anime are still watched only by weebs.

Back in my days we don't need good animation to get us to watch an anime.

The last arc of demon slayer is really fun to read, so knowing that demon slayer has amazing animation, I can't wait to see those final 30 to 40 chapters animated. All the fights are good in their own way and I know a lot of people will like this last arc because there are only fight scenes pretty much. I guess I spoiled it a bit but yeah clears solo leveling where jinwoo just dogwalks literally all of his opponents including destruction lol.
